I finally finished my pick. I love Nicky James and enjoyed Owl's Slumber. An interesting take on phobias.

You guys feel free to nudge me if I'm having a geriatric moment.

1. Create a new shelf or update your existing shelf on your bookshelf that includes approximately 20 books that you would like to have someone use to pick a book for you to read. Books will only be selected from the shelf you choose.
2. By the end of the month, post in this thread that you want to participate and provide a link to your Pick Me shelf. (If you've participated before, I already have your link and you don't have to re-post it.)
3. On the first day of the month I’ll use the randomizer to pair up everyone.
4. Friend your partner who is picking for you or set your profile to public or your partner will not be able to access your shelf.
5. You have until the 3rd of the month to post your selection for your partner in this thread.
6. Come back after finishing the book selected for you by your partner (even if it's after the month has ended) and let everybody know what you think about it.
Sign up period will remain open until the end of this month.

Oh no! I'm not very far along yet.

Booo! At least the could have fit after all the trouble they caused.

Oh my gosh I forgot to tell you guys!!! It was just Crocs. Nothing else ..."
LOL Did they fit? That was the weirdest thing ever. We were all worried. So glad nothing came of it.

I'm still 5-6 books behind from PMC and BRs that I absolutely do not want to skip. I'm trying not to add too many new so that maybe, one day, I'll be caught up. Ha!

That's an easy hole to fall into. LOL Those books are good.

that's a tough surgery...best wishes for her quick recovery

There are audiobooks with a full cast of narrators not just 1 male and 1 female.
There are also audiobooks with background "movie" sounds. You can see some of the selection on https://www.graphicaudio.net/
. My library carries a few of these.
ETA
Easy way to see the audiobooks with a full cast is on Audible.com, type in the search bar "full cast"

He sure did. He's phone is still going off with well wishes. I guess his birthday is easy to remember. 🤣

Sounds so awesome!

If they're not good actors, then yes.

Narrators will use higher pitch voices for female characters and lower pitches for males.

The best audiobooks have a narrator or cast of narrators that can do unique voices for the characters as well as inbue each scene with the appropriate emotion. Narrators are (voice) actors. Some are great. Some are not.
