Every new book is like going home to visit loved family and friends. ❤️

English wit in a story automatically makes it a favorite for me. I absolutely love it! And if I can listen to an audiobook where the narrator has an Englis accent, it's automatic love for me.

I don't think I can start a series on book 2. LOL Especially one that involves fantasy world building.

Well, I am officially in a book slump. Just finished one I really liked but have started and stopped on a handful of others already. Luckily the slump will only last until tomorrow.

Oops, I just took a look at the Soul Eater book page on GR.
1. I already tried and dnf'd - don't remember why so I looked at reviews
2. Many of the people who I know align with my taste in reading did not rate it highly and complained about the things I'd dnf a book for.

The eclipse was incredible! Even though we had some cloud cover, it was still visible and just an incredible experience to see it again.

I'm 4 mins into Chap 5. The story has good bones, but I'm not entirely convinced. I'd prefer a more suspenseful, less sexual plot.

I was alone in my apartment, but I always worry that the sound might be heard outside. hahaha When I'm in my car I always turn the volume way down during a sex scene or skip it altogether when I get to a stop light.

There was some stuff I didn't like in this one (view spoiler)[ those twig limbs eww (hide spoiler)] and (view spoiler)[ why couldn't Lonan be happy to be with his love in the Seelie court? (hide spoiler)] Oh and (view spoiler)[ all that killing of guards...was that necessary? (hide spoiler)]

But after all my complaining, I'm still giving it 4 stars. It wasn't a cliffhanger like book 1. One more to go! Then I'm going to try her monster series which I think you guys already read.

Very cloudy with a high chance of rain here too. boohoo! I did see the last solar eclipse we had. I was counting on number 2.

Judy, that's awesome Kalyn and her team did so well. Congrats.

After the eclipse I'm headed to see my aunt in the hospital. She's doing very poorly. :-(

I'll give it a try. I'm beginning to think it's my mood. I've started a handful of books this weekend and nothing is grabbing me.
