121177 I've read 4 of the 10: Jane Eyre, The Color Purple, Dune, and Winnie-the-Pooh. I don't think I've read The Woman in White, but I have read The Moonstone (also by Collins) and enjoyed it. I'm glad I can say that I've read Dune, but it is not something I will be rereading any time soon (I went to the used bookstore- bought all 6 Dune books and read them in one summer, and then returned all 6 books to the used bookstore).

121177 I've finished two challenges this month (out of 4 books).
5) 347 pages long- Churchill & Orwell: the Fight for Freedom by Thomas E. Ricks (it is if you don't count the title page, the copyright page and the blank pages). Interesting dual biography of both men, focusing on WWII.
6) Waited a month- Option B by Sheryl Sandberg.
121177 My favorite book was (big surprise, I'm sure), Hamilton. Fascinating book, well written, and he tells a great story.
My first thought was that I would love to win a bag o' books, but I'm also trying to get my books under control before my trip to Orlando and another boatload of books to bring back and share with peeps. So thanks, but please don't put my name in the pot. :)

121177 I don't seem to be having much luck reading fiction, so I thought I'd try nonfiction. I just checked out Churchill and Orwell: The Fight for Freedom by Thomas E. Ricks. It looked interesting.

121177 Happy Reading Weather!
I'm still reading Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon and The Orchid Affair by Lauren Willig. I think I'm in a reading slump. Although I'm also still binge watching Glee, and listening to songs from musicals (mostly Rent, and Wicked, and Hamilton), and trying to find a place in my bookcases for the mountain of books that has taken over my coffee table (I must clear it off before I go to Orlando and come home with another mountain of books). :)

121177 I have only read two of the books on the list: Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter (big surprise, I'm sure). When I was younger, I reread Lord of the Rings so many times that I got so I could reread the whole trilogy in a weekend.
I love Sense & Sensibility, so I'll try Pride & Prejudice.

121177 I haven't done much reading this week, and am still reading both books so I have not finished either. I've been busy clearing out my guest room, so I can have guests. I have a feeling I will also be weeding my library. Maybe we could have a book swap? Need any paperbacks? :)
I am looking forward to a weekend of rain and reading (and looking at furniture). I have the next two books by Lauren Willig checked out, so I'll probably read those when I finish the ones I'm working on.

121177 I have finished reading The Mischief of the Mistletoe by Lauren Willig and Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and am currently reading Night Pleasures by Sherrily Kenyon and A Mystery at Carlton House by Ashley Gardner. Not sure what to read next, but with the mountain of books I brought home from Atlanta, I don't think that will be a problem. :)

121177 I've read Atonement, Lord of the Flies, Possession (years ago and don't remember much), and Watership Down (and started The Three Muskateers, but didn't finish- I might try again later).

121177 I am currently reading April 1965: the Month that Saved America (most of which occurred in VA). Fascinating history about the end of the Civil War. Just finished reading about the fall of Richmond (the southern retreat did way more damage to the city of Richmond than the north coming in), and am now reading about the retreat of Lee's army. Interesting side bit: Jessie James and his gang spent the war as Confederate guerillas in Missouri.

121177 This has been a slow week. I've finished the next two Lauren Willig books: The Temptation of the Night Jasmine and The Betrayal of the Blood Lily (I'm tempted to read The Scarlet Pimpernel, when I get caught up with the series- don't want to get them confused). I'm also still working on April 1865: the Month that saved America.

121177 I moved to Virginia because of a library (this library, in fact). Since then, I have met many people who have changed who I am, and who I want to be. People who encourage me to try new things, and follow my dream.

This week I am reading: April 1865: the Month that Saved America by Jay Winik and also The Temptation of the Night Jasmine by Lauren Willig. And am enjoying both of them.

121177 I've read Heart of Darkness more than once, and Dracula. I haven't read Wuthering Heights, my teachers all seem to have preferred Jane Eyre.

121177 I'm still reading Alexander Hamilton (and enjoying it emmensely), as well as The Seduction of the Crimson Rose (which has been taking a back seat to Alexander). Not sure what will be next, other than the next Lauren Willig. I bought an interesting history on my Nook, April 1865: the Month that Saved America that sounds interesting (or Ron Chernow's biography of Washington or possibly a biography of Jefferson- I'm now interested to see the story of his relationship with Hamilton from his side).

121177 I've finished three:
1) The Masque of the Black Tulip by Lauren Willig
2) The Deception of the Emerald Ring (set in Dublin).
7) The Deception of the Emerald Ring has a green cover (at least most of it is green).

121177 I'm still reading Alexander Hamilton, which I give a 5 stars easily. I have to say, I'm not liking Thomas Jefferson, he had a serious hate on for old Alexander- rather paranoid about him despite all of the proof that none of it was true.
I'm also still reading The Seduction of the Crimson Rose by Lauren Willig, and it's getting to the good part. :)

I am enjoying them, I'm addicted to historical mysteries, and that's a fascinating period. If you like historical mysteries, I can suggest more (Amanda Carmack's series is also a good one).

121177 I've finished reading Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman, and am still reading (and enjoying) Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow (the title of which is also the title of the first song in the musical). I'm also reading The Seduction of the Crimson Rose by Lauren Willig (Book 4 in the Pink Carnation series-all of the titles have flowers in them). I'm also still working on The Romanovs by Montefiore (don't know if I'm going to finish it, but I'll keep on for now).
