I've read 4 of the 10: Jane Eyre, The Color Purple, Dune, and Winnie-the-Pooh. I don't think I've read The Woman in White, but I have read The Moonstone (also by Collins) and enjoyed it. I'm glad I can say that I've read Dune, but it is not something I will be rereading any time soon (I went to the used bookstore- bought all 6 Dune books and read them in one summer, and then returned all 6 books to the used bookstore).

I've finished two challenges this month (out of 4 books).
5) 347 pages long- Churchill & Orwell: the Fight for Freedom by Thomas E. Ricks (it is if you don't count the title page, the copyright page and the blank pages). Interesting dual biography of both men, focusing on WWII.
6) Waited a month- Option B by Sheryl Sandberg.

My favorite book was (big surprise, I'm sure), Hamilton. Fascinating book, well written, and he tells a great story.
My first thought was that I would love to win a bag o' books, but I'm also trying to get my books under control before my trip to Orlando and another boatload of books to bring back and share with peeps. So thanks, but please don't put my name in the pot. :)

I don't seem to be having much luck reading fiction, so I thought I'd try nonfiction. I just checked out Churchill and Orwell: The Fight for Freedom by Thomas E. Ricks. It looked interesting.

Happy Reading Weather!
I'm still reading Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon and The Orchid Affair by Lauren Willig. I think I'm in a reading slump. Although I'm also still binge watching Glee, and listening to songs from musicals (mostly Rent, and Wicked, and Hamilton), and trying to find a place in my bookcases for the mountain of books that has taken over my coffee table (I must clear it off before I go to Orlando and come home with another mountain of books). :)

I have only read two of the books on the list: Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter (big surprise, I'm sure). When I was younger, I reread Lord of the Rings so many times that I got so I could reread the whole trilogy in a weekend.
I love Sense & Sensibility, so I'll try Pride & Prejudice.

cover with three colors- The Mischief of the Mistletoe- Lauren Willig. the main characters also take a trip, but might have a different one for that. :)

I've read Atonement, Lord of the Flies, Possession (years ago and don't remember much), and Watership Down (and started The Three Muskateers, but didn't finish- I might try again later).

I am currently reading April 1965: the Month that Saved America (most of which occurred in VA). Fascinating history about the end of the Civil War. Just finished reading about the fall of Richmond (the southern retreat did way more damage to the city of Richmond than the north coming in), and am now reading about the retreat of Lee's army. Interesting side bit: Jessie James and his gang spent the war as Confederate guerillas in Missouri.

I moved to Virginia because of a library (this library, in fact). Since then, I have met many people who have changed who I am, and who I want to be. People who encourage me to try new things, and follow my dream.
This week I am reading: April 1865: the Month that Saved America by Jay Winik and also The Temptation of the Night Jasmine by Lauren Willig. And am enjoying both of them.

I've read Heart of Darkness more than once, and Dracula. I haven't read Wuthering Heights, my teachers all seem to have preferred Jane Eyre.

I've finished three:
1) The Masque of the Black Tulip by Lauren Willig
2) The Deception of the Emerald Ring (set in Dublin).
7) The Deception of the Emerald Ring has a green cover (at least most of it is green).

I'm still reading Alexander Hamilton, which I give a 5 stars easily. I have to say, I'm not liking Thomas Jefferson, he had a serious hate on for old Alexander- rather paranoid about him despite all of the proof that none of it was true.
I'm also still reading The Seduction of the Crimson Rose by Lauren Willig, and it's getting to the good part. :)

If you like historical mysteries, I can suggest more (Amanda Carmack's series is also a good one).
