K question for published authors on here: are y'all's (I hate the way it looks with an S lol) normal GR accounts and author accounts merged or separate? cuz like I can't find the answer anywhere in a way that makes sense. The reason I ask is because I have a penname and don't want both my accounts to have the same info in that area but wish for them to be connected. And what about my books, what happens with them? So to simplify it, do you get two separate dashboards of sorts?

well yeah but I'm running out of things to do lol, like everything else needs a finished manuscript. but oh well, it'll all come together somehow right

being a writer is not wanting to write but wanting to be productive so you research cover designers (who are ExPeNsIvE btw), create a beta reader signup form for "when it's time" whatever that means, research the best self-publishing companies with print on demand that offer hardcover as well as paperback (sadly not many budget ones do both), look for a map designer (also expensive but hella awesome), make a few aesthetic videos and boards while you feel guilty about not writing, create and set up linktree despite not having anything to actually put on there, and countless other things until before you know it two weeks have passed and you haven't written a single word

I finally made a Tiktok account (I had ones years ago but I may or may not have forgotten everything I needed to sign in lol) to post stuff about my book—aesthetics, updates, reveals, quotes, etc.

Well I have officially made it my new year goal to publish the first book in my historical fantasy duology this year (preferably December 12th since it’s my MCs birthday and that would be cool)

good luck to everyone on their goals whatever they may be!

I left out the two most inspirational authors to me— Stephanie Garber and our dear Ruqayyah, both have inspired me to push myself in the descriptive category and Ruqayyah is the ultimate cheerleader and I have no idea what I’d do without with manita.
