Welcome Brenda, Lindsey, and Fungai!
Fungai wrote: "This group looks interesting enough without piling pressure on me to participate too much. I am hoping that it will encourage me to try new genres without too much nervousness as well as getting to chat about books and reading with other like minded individuals."That's certainly what we try as a group to be! :)

Welcome, Luella! That introduction was perfect. :)
Holly wrote: "I'm so glad you're all enjoying it! The writing is just phenomenal, and something I wasn't sure I would like (I have an love/hate relationship with odd narratives...)"Same here. But when it's done right, it's done right. :)
Margriet wrote: "25 or 26 books! My first challenge ever!"That's excellent, Margriet! Good luck. :)

I started it last night, too. It's excellent so far! Very uniquely written.

You could always do the "so-and-so wrote" part manually? All it takes is quotation marks, the person's name, and a snippet of what they said. Or you could go Twitter-esque and use @member-name. Or even give the number of the comment you're replying to. (For instance, this comment is @Roseanne, comment #10.)
Luffy wrote: "Thanks Faye and dely, you've been very patient and helpful."No problem, Luffy. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. :)

I've only just started reading this, but I have to say... the first chapter is absolutely beautiful. I feel as though it could stand alone as a short story.

Wow, I've never heard of most of those books! I hope you'll let us know what you think of them. :)

You don't have to use the challenge widgets on the group's page. It's just a fun way to keep track of what you're reading and how many books you've read in a way that the whole group can see. If you want to use a challenge widget but don't want to create a personal bookshelf, you can still use the main Goodreads widget
here. When you use that one, you don't need a personal bookshelf for it - as long as you include the date you finished the book when you mark the book as "read" (or even just that you finished it in 2014), it will count towards that challenge.
I hope that cleared things up for you. :)

This sounds great, Alberta! Good luck. :)

Yes, anything historical counts. :)
Sandy wrote: "Thank you for this terrific summary, Faye. It is very helpful. I personally appreciate point 2(b); it took me ages to figure this out (with reference to books I have read for other challenges)."Thanks, Sandy, I'm glad to have helped! :)

Have you read
The Outsiders? That was one of my reads from last year that it seemed everyone else had already read.
