118012 Which I’m posting one day late, because I am one of the Temporily Challenged.

Mission: Read some Science Fiction! 🚀
Or the Biography of someone involved in the fabulous Stars Wars series.
Either sounds like a lovely excuse to sit in the sunshine with a good book!

Well, I’ll be over in the shade, because I’m also one of the Solar Challenged. Luckily, the planet has lots of wonderful trees. 🌳

118012 If April showers bring May flowers, what do Mayflowers bring?

... A new mini-challenge!!!

Mission: Read a book that has the name of a flower in its title. Or a flower displayed prominently on the cover. This is a one book mini-challenge to be completed between May 1 - 31.

Examples:
White Oleander
The Secret History of the Pink Carnation
Daisy Miller

*If your book has a floral cover, please post and share the pretty. *

118012 Any villainy for the rest of you in April?
May 05, 2018 12:21PM

118012 I’ve actually managed to score one mini-challenge in April. Given my current reading slump, that’s something of a shocker.

I read The Queen's Accomplice which is part of the Maggie Hope series I’ve been meandering through. The series is good; it’s the reader that’s pokey. :P

The villain is a cross between HH Holmes and a Jack, The Ripper copycat. Nasty fellow. But Maggie kicks his ass in the end, so, happily, the series will continue.

118012 Did anyone find some humor this April?

118012 Any last-minute entries for this one?

118012 A great start, Sofia!

118012 That’s one reason we try to offer a variety of challenges. Hopefully, there’s something that fits everyone’s taste, time, or interest level.
118012 Welcome, new joiners!

118012 Ooo. I’ll have to give this some thought!

118012 Looks interesting. How was it?
Apr 20, 2018 04:43AM

118012 You’re making me want to read R&B soon!
Apr 20, 2018 04:41AM

118012 Jenny, I think clergy sounds good... but you can place R&B there for now and move it later if you need. Like a Wild Card. :)

118012 Lol. Never was a Claudio fan either. And he wasn’t even the comic relief!

118012 Finished The Curse of Chalion. It took me a while to get into this one bit wasn’t slow exactly, but the world building took time. Ultimately the story really picks up and is very satisfying. I highly recommend it.
