The Rosie Result was a bit more serious/less funny than the first two books, so not that it was bad but it wasn’t exactly what I had expected. I loved the ending though so I ended up giving it 4 stars nonetheless.

I just finished The Lightning Thief and loved it. Looking forward to the next book which I’ll be reading next month. First off to finishing The Rosie Result.

How are you liking Rick Rordian, Eileen? It’s my first and I’m loving it! :)

Are you guys talking about Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys? Absolutely loved that book!

I’ll be reading Percy Jackson (#2), Artemis Fowl (#1), The Darkest Legacy (The Darkest Mind #4), Red Queen (#1) and Quintana of Charyn (The Lumatere Chronicles #3).

The other reads I have planned for July don’t fit the theme but I’m quite happy with this selection. Really looking forward to them all!

A Man Called Ove is the only other of his books that I read so I can’t really say if you should read that one or another one. I liked it though I liked Britt-Marie better.

I finished Britt-Marie Was Here too. At first it seemed it was going to be a lot like A Man Called Ove, but it really surprised me. As Eileen said a lot of happy and sad moments which had me laughing out loud, then crying.

@Cindy: Neither did I! I’m doing a book-to-movie reading (and watching) year and I thought I was well prepared, had done my research and then suddenly this one showed up! In the Netherlands the release date is July 11th.

Britt-Marie Was Here is mentioned as a humorous book and seeing that the movie is coming out soon I'll be reading that one.
And The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo sounds quite tragic.
