I end up waiting for sequels a lot, and then I end up forgetting to get back to them or I forget what happened and have to reread. Oh, well.

I have a hold on that book too.

1176148 I'm very behind on doing my update. I got some reading done in July, but most of it wasn't very helpful for my challenges. I hope to do better in August. I suspect I'll be scrambling to complete my goals in November in December (the licensing exams are in late October).

End of July summary:
1. 52/100 books
2. 19/40 series books, 2 in progress
3. 2/10 nonfiction, 3 in progress

The outside reading has gone slowly. Hopefully, I can get through all of it in time for the exam. I am already really looking forward to having my free time back. It's exhausting studying on weekends and evenings while also working full time.

Project Hail Mary is definitely my favorite so far this year. None of the other books really stand out for second place.

1176148 I did quite a bit of reading this month, but much of it wasn't for fun. I'm reading a bunch of nonfiction material for work, so I can attempt getting another license, and the material is really dry. When not reading the dull material, I've mostly been reading mysteries because they're not so mentally taxing.

End of June summary:
1. 44/100 books
2. 16/40 series books, 2 in progress
3. 2/10 nonfiction, 4 in progress

I've wanted to go to Egypt since I was 3 or 4 years old. I was fascinated by the pyramids. No wonder my dad wasn't surprised when I decided to become a structural engineer :-)

Ioana wrote: "LOL, I have the same problem, just a lot more countries in Europe. Plus the rest of the world 🤣"

Honestly, it would probably be shorter to list the places I don't want to go than all the ones I would like to see.

1176148 Traveling is definitely back. I am now trying to decide where I would like to go next. I still have several more countries left if I want to get to every country in Europe. I would also like to go to Egypt, Australia, and Japan (along with a bunch of other places).

1176148 Alondra wrote: "Next question: What did you eat and what was the best dish??.."

The pizza in Italy was amazing (of course). I tried it in both Venice and Rome, and I was happy with both. I would say the pizza I had in Venice was better, though (better crust). The pasta was only okay. I had some delicious Greek salads in both Greece and Croatia. I also had some delicious lamb chops and chicken gyros in Greece. The bread was excellent everywhere. I didn't have any particularly memorable desserts, at least not in a good way.

Which islands did you visit? We are planning to stay on Santorini and Mykonos, as well as some mainland Greece. And yes - not a lot of reading will get done, haha. So much fun."

In 2019, I went to Switzerland, Germany, France, and Netherlands, so we went on similar trips. The only place on that list that I haven't been to is Prague, and that's on my to-do list.

We went to Kefalonia, Santorini, and Corfu. All were beautiful.
