Kudos on being at the halfway mark!!"
Thanks! I finished Dead of Night today. It was really good, and now I am annoyed because it ended with a cliffhanger, and my library doesn't have any of the sequels. I will have to go buy them.

You definitely should, but be prepared for spending a really long time getting there. It took me around 25 hours to get from Minneapolis to Sydney, and it took me around 19 hours to get from Auckland to Minneapolis.
Odd fact: Auckland is 19 hours ahead of Central time in the US, so, by the clock, I landed in Minneapolis about 10 minutes after I took off in New Zealand. Longest 10 minutes of my life, lol.

They are really good. I do like the ones with Joe Ledger more than this series, but it is still excellent. I ran out of my time on my e-book, and I just got it back from my library, so I am happy to be able to start reading it again.

So glad you enjoyed your time. Did you visit any Hobbit Holes??
LOL. I think you would have a great time on one of these adventures.
Unfortunately, the excursions involving LOTR scenery and sites filled up immediately, but I did get to go to the WETA lab and see the special effects exhibits. That was really cool. The parts of New Zealand I did get to see were really pretty.

Also, love all of your stats. Makes me want to go and make an excel spreadsheet!"
I'm an engineer, so I love my numbers.
It was an amazing trip. Both countries have very cool wildlife. I went to a lot of sanctuaries, zoos, and eco-reserves, so I got to see just about every unique species of mammal, bird, or reptile that they have.

I never seem to read more than 4 pages when I'm traveling - too tired at the end of a busy day exploring."
I was too distracted by other things to really read much, plus I'm not used to having a roommate (my cousin was with me). I am still a little behind, but I'm getting closer to being back on track.

I did not like the Moving Finger that much. It was a decent mystery; but ...... (spoiler, no spoiler). LOL"
The Easy Rawlins series is okay, but he definitely spends a lot of his time in the gray areas (or worse). It makes for an interesting story even if I don't like him much. I haven't decided yet if I will continue on with this series.
I usually like Agatha Christie mysteries, but they do vary in quality. That makes sense, considering how many there are.

I did! I finished
