Watching it now

No. You're not. If it's not disturbing on some level, I don't want any part of it.

Hmm. Disturbing. Disturbing is a broad term. Lots of things disturb me. White Oleander was disturbing. Carolin, you're right about the rape scene. Night by Elie Wiesel is very disturbing because it's true. 1984 is deeply disturbing. Lol
Hope you feel better, Ian.

I think Keeping it Close was one of the better shorts. I'm like you, Carolin, not super into them because I think they're just a tease. I read them mostly to pacify me while I wait for a new book. I think part of why Keeping it Close was so good is that it takes place after the most recently released book instead of like...between 4 and 5...where all the characters have already moved on from the story.

I'm with Kim. World building is the most essential element in UF. I think it's done best when you feel like nothing happened at all. Like, it was a natural progression, and then you're there. Since a lot of UF is done in first person, usually the main character will give you an overview of what is going on and then you get the details as they become relevant. I prefer this to the info dump. But then there are some times when you are waiting for the details, as they've become necessary and relevant, and they never come. I think that's what happened with me and Kate Daniels, I should really give her another shot.
It's a delicate dance.
I mean, can you imagine if KMM would have just info-dumped the entire fever world on you in the first couple of chapters? I would have been like "Okay, fuck this utterly ridiculous bullshit," and walked away from like my favorite series ever.

Yep, Indianapolis on Wednesday for a wedding this Friday.

I'm super sad about the Elder Griffin thing. It's heartbreaking.

As much as I enjoy the beach and the pool when it's warm out, I'm ready for winter clothes. They're so much better. And 105 is too damn hot even for me. It's actually making me look forward to my trip to Indy.

Pretty good, nothing too exciting. Going to get started on my class work soon and I have to go get a dress for a wedding later. And it's hot as fuck here.

Hi, everyone (:

Damn. It's gotta be Boston or Philly. Pretty sure it's east coastal because we know it's in the US, there's water and beaches nearby and it snows. And they're always busing in people from NYC, Indianapolis, and Ohio. Philly is a pretty rough city, it'd be a good choice for Downside.

I knew. I remembered that Haunted Week was in the late 90's, and that's when Chessie was born. Where do you think it takes place? I think, based on what we know, Kim and I decided it was probably Baltimore or Boston. I really want her to just tell us!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have to be super into them to read them straight through, and luckily I am with this one. I was reading another series last week before I got distracted with this one. I'll have to finish that at some point.

Yeah, it's really good. I've enjoyed it so far. The main characters were really annoying me in the last book, so hopefully they redeem themselves here.

On Demon Wings, the 5th book in the Experiment in Terror series.

Oh, yanno. I wish I could say I was doing something super interesting with my day, but I'm probably just going to be reading.

Yes, I am (: Thanks. Went to the gym last night and everything. All is right in the world.

Yeah, you're gonna have to keep on waiting for that one.

Hey kids. Hangovers do suck, I feel for you, Ian.
