116885 Think about it. Because you know I like all things scary.

Okay. For me, sometimes horror/paranormal scary stuff does enough to creep me out but isn't necessarily terrifying. Everyone has their own thing that scares the shit out of them. Crime books normally terrify me in a way I don't like.

In real life for me, it's snakes. Fuck those guys.

And four year olds. They're terrifying D:

I'll give you guys some books that have given me nightmares, AND are excellent books at the same time. Some are paranormal, some are just creeptown for other reasons.

The Alienist by Caleb Carr

The Shadow of the Wind (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #1) by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Something Wicked This Way Comes (Green Town, #2) by Ray Bradbury

Red Fox (Experiment in Terror, #2) by Karina Halle

Honorable mention to Parasite (Parasitology, #1) by Mira Grant . Very high on the creep factor.

116885 Hey, everyone. So, we were hoping to make a list of everyone's favorite scary stories for the month of October. You know, to go along with all of the cheesy horror movies we're going to binge on.

What's the scariest book you've ever read?

116885 I'm impressed. I never would have made it to four if I wasn't interested.

116885 I love mine. I have scoliosis and it helps with my lower back pain. I got it at Target for like 25 bucks I think?

116885 Paul, I watched the first couple of seasons and then I was kind of over it. But I've heard it got much better after I stopped watching (hanging out in a prison season).

116885 Yes, I agree with you, Kim. It is ugly and honest.

116885 Mmm coffee ❤️❤️

You're right about the acting. It's really bad, particularly Eph and Nora. Now that we've been watching it for a while and are into the story, we don't notice it anymore. That's usually my disclaimer when I recommend it.

116885 Hey, Hasan. It's The Strain day!
116885 That's true, Kim!

Anyone else read this? What did you guys think? Continuing the series or no?

If you enjoyed it, you should definitely check out Morgan Kingsley.

116885 I want some rain ))))))):

lord of the manor.

I'm convincing myself this is going to be a good week. So. It will be.

Still have some homework to do. I'm catching up from when I was on vacation too, so it's a bit excessive. Also, I have to take a midterm today D:

Sorry about your back pain, Kim.

116885 This was just the week from hell for me. I'll just be working on my classes all weekend and trying to save myself from my current condition.
