Yeah, she doesn't narrate like that in the other books. KMM says it's because she's in the spotlight and she doesn't feel the she needs the attention and she's starved for it in the first books. I didn't like Dani until ICED.

And ugh....I still can't even really talk about Fever. I just can't.

Okay, I'm done. I added the second book to my
TBR, but I've got a few books that are going to take priority.

Like I said, ghost story and the archive world were unique and interesting. I wasn't really attached to the characters, though. They weren't terrible. Just not super memorable. Roland was my favorite. And Owen.

Some are good, but I feel like YA is heavily saturated with garbage books. (Hmmm...maybe we need a thread about this). Im about done with this one. I figured it'd be okay because a lot of YA readers think it's "not YA." ....it is. The MC is 18. It's just missing the annoying YA relationship. I think that salvages it, but I'm definitely missing some adult situations. I'll update you shortly on whether or not I think it's good enough to read the next book.


I don't care for the brother storyline, but I like the ghost/murder mystery aspect.

Update: about 60% on. Pretty solid ghosts/murder mystery storyline. Would obviously be better if it were a more mature story.

Run is planned, but not yet. Great weather for it though.

Anyone else got this yet? I've started it.

Thoughts so far: interested in the 'world' here. Don't really care for the MC and her brother storyline. I'm hoping something else is on the way.

I wish there were more series like this. I really enjoy the fucked up relationship between Dex/Perry, too. I need more things like this.

I'm ready for her to start her Ada series, but she's been getting a lot of praise for the romance lately, so that might be on hold. Not mad, I'll read it all. Everything she writes is gold.
