I know! I can't wait for the Ada books!

Nothing that we've been able to find.

Lena, I am starting to get sick too. I just posted on Twitter about how reading The Stand and getting sick is not good for your mental health. Whenever I start reading it, I can just feel the phantom excess mucus building up in my throat and I'm sure that I'm dead.

Yeah, I don't do clowns. Not at all.

So since Lena and I haven't experienced much King, we decided, after reading
The Stand, to keep the King reads going. Anyone is free to join us and join the discussion in this thread.

RE: The Stand
So glad Lena decided to take on this book with me this month. Anyone else have this hefty tomb on their TBR and want some support getting through it? Who has read it and loved it?
So far, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. My favorite characters are Nick and Frannie.

Yay! I'm so glad you're reading it with me!

You guys, wtf happened to Kalayna Price? Something medical or drug related?
Notice, the "March" has been officially removed from the publication date, as we all knew it would be.
Also, the most recent updates on her website are from 2012!!!
Do you think we should give up? On Death? And everything. God, these books are so good ))):

Carolin, did you finish the series?

Oh yeah. Joey loved it. Hasn't shut up about it. So I figured I'd better start it. It's his top King book, he says.

Oh, and a blurb. I'd really like a blurb.

I have the paperback because Joey's read it. If we're both going to read something, we go for a hard copy. It's a little hard to comfortably hold while reading, I will say that.

It's perfect UF. I love this series. Hopefully we get a date for book 5 soon. And that date is soon.

The longer "uncut" edition. If anyone wants to join me, I'm not that far into it. Haha I'll be on this one for a while. 1440 pages.

Oh, I'm doing alright. Obscenely tired. Nothing interesting in my life as usual. How about you?

Snow? What's snow?
Where do you live?

I started reading The Stand yesterday, so I'll be busy with that one for a while. I've had it for a long time, but it's just such a big commitment.

Yeah, I've been doing okay but not great. Not so bad that I'm in a slump. It'd be nice to find something new to be obsessed with though.

Meh yeah now I think I'll find a book to start and go to bed. Pretty boring but a long day for me lol.

Just had dinner with a couple of friends. Just got home.

I like my Nike Frees a lot, I'm on my second pair. I don't know if you plan on running inside or out, but I'd recommend outside for sure. Much easier for training distance. It's easy to get bored when you're going no where.
Anyway--next tip: download MapMyRun. It's free, and it tracks your distance, times your miles, gives you updates and well...maps. I think it's fun.
Also, pick the distance you are going to do before you start. Then you have to finish it to get home. Even if you have to walk some.
Strength training simultaneously will make it easier, too. You just have to run through the shin splints, they'll get stronger. Mine sucked really bad too, now they really only get sore when I do a really serious hike.
