116885 Good luck, Kim (: <3
116885 I love it. The characters are so awesome. I love Angel and Uncle Bob and Garrett (Jesse Williams aka Jackson Avery from Grey's is my Garrett). And Reyes, of course.

116885 Started Under the Dome. My first thought is that it's reading a lot like The Stand, and Dale Barbara seems like he's the Stan Redman of this book.

116885 The app needs to get serious and let us post pictures. I always see super funny stuff I wanna share and then I'm like meh. Too much work.

Anyway, how's everyone doing?

116885 I lol'd. Good one.

116885 Truth. But you know, I'm constantly torn between being real and feigning modesty. But if all else fails, we could always promise them pizza? That's how I keep Nick in the group.

116885 Woah, you totally have ESPN or something. Maybe I'll send out a message to the group. See if we can get any other SK continuum takers. You'd think they'd all be clamoring over here. With Uncle Stevie's creepiness and our coolness or something like it.

116885 Awesome (:

116885 After the dome, we'll have to read Carrie or something else tiny.

116885 That's a lotta creep.

116885 Oh is 'IT' a long one, too? I wouldn't know, since I had to skip IT. Clowns and what not. That's cool though, I'm sure it will take me forever to read this one anyway.
116885 They are really good books. Charley is hilarious, and I love that she has that thing that all female MCs in UF are missing: a best friend. Cookie rocks. Actually, an entire social group. She's not the typical loner character. It makes it a lot of fun.

116885 Just purchased Under the Dome by Stephen King . Happy to add to my Stephen King collection.

116885 I'd love to have a Lex one, too. It'd be nice to know what was really going on in his head.

116885 I read the first Parasol Protectorate book as well. I liked it. Liked the genre okay, my hesitation with the London Steampunk series is that it may be too romancey. Anyone?

Watched the fight. What'd you think, Kim?
116885 WARNING: *Spoils books 1-7*

Really it does.

In the first sentence.

No turning back now.

"With twelve hellhounds after her, pregnant Charley Davidson takes refuge at the only place she thinks they can’t get to her: the grounds of an abandoned convent. But after months of being cooped up there, Charley is ready to pop. Both metaphorically and literally since she is now roughly the size of a beached whale. Fortunately, a new case has captured her attention, one that involves a murder on the very grounds the team has taken shelter upon. A decades-old murder of the newly-vowed nun she keeps seeing in the shadows is almost enough to pull her out of her doldrums.

Charley’s been forbidden to step foot off the sacred grounds. While the angry hellhounds can’t traverse the consecrated soil, they can lurk just beyond its borders. They have the entire team on edge, especially Reyes. And if Charley didn’t know better, she would swear Reyes is getting sick. He grows hotter with every moment that passes, his heat scorching across her skin every time he’s near, but naturally he swears he’s fine.

While the team searches for clues on the Twelve, Charley just wants answers and is powerless to get them. But the mass of friends they’ve accrued helps. They convince her even more that everyone in her recent life has somehow been drawn to her, as though they were a part of a bigger picture all along. But the good feelings don’t last for long because Charley is about to get the surprise of her crazy, mixed-up, supernatural life…."
116885 "This whole grim reaper thing should have come with a manual.
Or a diagram of some kind.

A flow chart would have been nice.

Charley Davidson is a part-time private investigator and full-time grim reaper. Meaning, she sees dead people. Really. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (like murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely. But what does he want with Charley? And why can't she seem to resist him? And what does she have to lose by giving in?

With scorching-hot tension and high-octane humor, First Grave on the Right is your signpost to paranormal suspense of the highest order."
