Charley is so hilarious, I love her. I can see why some people think it's excessive at first though, she comes on strong in book one with the naming of her boobs :D

I did devour it. I loved it. It had a lot of my worst fears in it though, Nick. Like being trapped under a bubble with a crazy, fat Christian fundamentalist in charge and uneducated assholes with guns.

Big Jim is my most hated character yet.

The term 'the dead zone' was used in this book as well. Could be, he thinks it's real. That's how he's coming up with all this shit and churning out a couple terrifying best sellers a year like its NBD. Stevie has lost his mind.

I've got a serial killer that's been appointed to an emergency cop with a bunch of his psycho friends and all kinds of police brutality as if it were real life or something, Big Jim Rennie who is the epitome of what is wrong with small towns, and a demented pastor who is sure they're being punished for their sins.
