It was a REALLY good one. Making my husband read The Shining right now so he can read this one ASAP. If you have time, you should read Revival. It's really good and one of his shorter ones. The ending is the scariest I've read of his.

And yes, may he live to be 120! I wanna check out his son's writing too.

Finished! What an excellent fucking book. I loved it.

I think SK did a good job with Abra and the parents. I, too, was afraid that Abra's character would be weak and whiny. She was just so young. But she was pretty awesome. The parents didn't really suck or get in the way of everything, either.

Oh I'm glad you're reading The Shining, John. It's really good. Doctor Sleep, in my opinion, is better.
