The last 1/4 of book 8 had so much! I'm gonna have to reread it; I don't remember. I do remember not being fond of that ending. More for the 'bullshit that I need my authors to fix ASAP' list.

Reread a fave (American Gods) and I've been working on a nonfiction lately. I got burnt out on PNR too. Especially shifters. I may never go back.

There haven't even been that many excellent books to distract me this past year.

True, I just get really lonely having no one to hang out with and no family nearby. You'd think I'd be able to make some friends. And no one comes to visit. And Joey travels for work a lot. And he has a couple of friends.

Good luck, Ian. My goal for 2015 was to make some friends here, and it didn't really work out. So I guess that's my goal again. And maybe to have a zest for life. Haha.
