Kitty’s Zombie New Year by Carrie Vaughn ★★½☆☆ A weak abrupt offering from Vaughn. I kind of miss the Kitty series, but I never got over T.J.’s death.

The newest Halloween trailer: https://youtu.be/mt2_HdLjv6YIt’s an intense hot mess, but possibly watchable
Medieval fun time world is seven years old with 28 million views, so you have probably seen it, but it was new to me! https://youtu.be/5Krz-dyD-UQ

Until the Armstrong story things had been rather after-school-special. Actually, even A Haunted House of Her Own could have been a PG episode of Tales From the Crypt.
A Haunted House of Her Own by Kelley Armstrong ★★★★★ Lulled into complacency by an average Amityville Horror knockoff I was startled by the vicious ending. Nice one Ms. Armstrong, I should have had more faith.
Companions to the Moon by Charles de Lint ★★★☆☆ “Do you know how stupid that sounds?”
“Why? Because it doesn’t fit in with your concept of living life as a free spirit, the establishment be damned?”
I don’t have an answer for that.
Our first PNR is a breakup story with an unsympathetic main character. The mystery is why he was with her in the first place.
On the plus side if you have never heard of the SCA it is real and awesome. Someday, when I decide to sew like mad, I will join: https://youtu.be/gLX9SDJRggQ

Paula Guran’s intro to paranormal romance was informative with a side of pompous: I killed the series… Let’s just say I saw the light. *insert many eye roll gifs. Many.
No it was not. My first review of it was goobly goop. I fixed it yesterday but did not remember what the story was about until your review. I guess random Jesus stories are like that.
Julie’s Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle ★★½☆☆ For someone railing against the unicorns-as-deification of Christian virgins myth this story was distinctly sexless and childish. The “maiden” unicorn still needed its knights to get it back to their man. Just unsatisfying.
Fear and Loathing at the Watergate: Mr. Nixon Has Cashed His Check Rolling Stone (September 27, 1973) ★★★½☆ “Nobody in Nixon’s White House was willing to ‘draw the line’ anywhere short of re-electing the President in 1972.”
His chats, observations, adventures, and odd friendship with Pat Buchanan were my favorite. Fred Thompson, of Law & Order and The Hunt for the Red October, was on the Watergate Committee - surprise. I had not realized the length of his political career. Not really a shining moment though.
But there were long sections of raw notes and correspondences that were skippable.
