Lisey’s Story! https://youtu.be/QHQrB0R-LCgThis is the best SK I have read and SK’s personal favorite. If you have never read King, don’t start here.
Just sent out the emails and I should have said “over a year” as opposed to “almost a year.” Phone font is small and Apr looked like Aug.
Venom 2 looks somewhere between great and ok. I still need to see Venom 1: https://youtu.be/rrwBnlYOp4g
Here is a precious gift from the internet: https://grandjournal.net/bro-this-is-...For the record, i was a big fan of The Mere Wife: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I’m loosing interest in The Fisherman. The flashback is still going at 44% and it’s a multi character third person. That is much less captivating than the first person widower. I care about him, partially because I cast him as Timothy Olyphant, and his younger widower friend, who happens to be Jared Padalecki.
Not an anthology but this time travel story came in my BookBubs and the reviews are stellar: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KJLKJW3?...
One Babylon Five insider joke for Canavan.
Though it definitely wasn’t funny at the time, I laughed hard when I ran into this meme last year.
Babylon 5: https://youtu.be/uoD-Gw5oqrQA complete five season arch. Lots of shows say that, but they are lying. Written by this genius: Becoming Superman: A Writer's Journey from Poverty to Hollywood with Stops Along the Way at Murder, Madness, Mayhem, Movie Stars, Cults, Slums, Sociopaths, and War Crimes
Some of the acting was unforgettably good: Andreas Katsulas’s G’Kar will never be forgotten.
I’m 36% into The Fisherman and it’s gone all Pet Cemetery on me. It’s not what I was expecting. The flashback sequence has gone on her several chapters.
Lost Continent by Greg Egan ★★½☆☆ What a mess! The backstory was clear as mud and the action sequence poorly written. It’s a dystopian time-and-dimension travel story clumsily pressed into highlighting immigration issues.
An Honest Days Work by Margo Lanagan ★★★★☆ A brutal story about how we objectize animals/nature into a commodity. The worth of a goose liver, an elephant’s tusks, a rhino horn... if you have the stomach for it you can look up Vietnamese bear bile farms. Humans are the worst.
