Completed The Lake House AW2 DLC. Another good mini campaign and back to 100% unlocked trophies. The DLC is definitely worth the money especially in a sale.
Also started Sniper Elite Resistance. On the fifth mission. More of the same really from Sniper Elite 5 but that’s what I want. Good fun game play loop and superb maps. I even played invasion and ruined someone’s day 😀. And the survival mode is quite good fun too. A little rough around the edges but these sniper elite games always have been a bit AA.

Yea that is surreal. With such a big title the flood gates are probably opening. There are rumours of Master Chief Collection too. Forza Horizon 5 is superb. Honestly best racing game I’ve ever played. I was thinking next gen I won’t even need to buy an Xbox console but I guess if most of the big AAA are timed releases on PS and then included on games pass it’s a question of can I wait and can I save money playing them on games pass on Xbox. I’ll guess we’ll see how much the flood gates will open.

Deckard I can only say what is true. Previous attempts should cloud your judgement. The game is meant to torture you. And Alan Wake DLC hawing is what is meant to be.

It gets a lot more stressful. By the time I finished it it was a relief more than anything. You can’t fault the quality but boy it was difficult and stressful even on easy. Doom 2016 they got it spot on.

Doom Eternal honestly put me off Doom for good. I’ve played all the previous Doom games but Eternal was so full on too fast and stressful - at least that’s how I found it - and I promised myself never to play any future Doom games. However, the dev has said Dark Ages will of course be fast but not quite like Eternal and you’re more of Tank. So I’ll give it a chance.
Gaming wise for me I’ve completed Alan Wake 2 Night Springs. It has three TV like episodes all different. Really enjoyed them but episode 3 had a really annoying infinite room puzzle I wasn’t fond of. Lake House DLC next.

At the start of the PS4 gen I bought my console in a bundle with Battlefield 4 and Killzone Shadow Fall. I was playing the MP of these two to death. I did play a bit of Ghosts but I do remember the MP not being my favourite of the three.

Ah yes. The dog. Now I remember.

Congrats on the Ghosts plat. Wasn't that the first COD game on PS4? Like the first cross gen PS3/PS4 COD. And it got a lot of stick at the time if I remember correctly with poor reviews etc. Can barely remember the game/campaign myself now.
Not much gaming for me over the weekend as I was away. I did manage to play the first six operations of Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2. Actually really good and didn't have any issues finding randoms to play with and they all played nicely helping each other out. Still got two more operations to do but I don't think they have mission completion trophies connected with them (like the first six do) but I'll still play them at some point maybe even next weekend. Might try one of the Alan Wake 2 DLC campaigns as well next weekend but for some reason I'm really not in the mood for dark horror type games at the mo (hence why I've not started Stalker 2 either). Don't know why - perhaps it's because this time of year feels dark and horrible enough.

I’ve completed the Spider-Man 2 campaign. The second half of the campaign picked up a bit with the story, plot twists and missions. The number of really well done multi-phase boss fights is nothing like I’ve seen before but I actually quite enjoyed them. Not usually a fan of lengthy boss fights and especially so many. I enjoyed this game more than the first and the graphics are top notch. I’ll give it an 8/10 on the r-score-o-meter. If it was a little more original and wasn’t so much of a map full of side content that is so over done, and seen so many times before, it would be a 9.
Next I think I’ll play one or both of the Alan Wake 2 DLC campaigns before Sniper Elite Resistance is released at the end of the month on Game Pass. Sniper Elite for me is like gaming crack - loved them all so far. Always a little AA but I find the gameplay loop addictive.

Hi all. First day back at work for me :-(. So over the last week or so I've been playing Spiderman 2, on and off. About 2/3rds of the way through the campaign. So far it's OK - much like the first game really but I think the campaign is better, feels a bit more engaging for some reason. However, I have had some bugs which is suprising. One mission wouldn't progress - the one when you're chasing the 'lizard monster' in the water around an island. I took the jet skis down but nothing else would happen, constantly chasing. Went back to a checkpoint and then after killing the same enemies on jet skis it then went into a cut-scene. And then some occasional really bad performance - like 5fps for several seconds but it's only happened twice. It's a decent game but much like the first, for me at least, don't understand the hype - good but not great. Graphics though - very very nice on the Pro.

Started Spider-Man 2. I’m about 3 hours in but not feeling it. Saying that not in the mood for any gaming at the mo.

Hope everyone had a good crimbo. Gaming presents wise I got £100 of PS Store vouchers. Think I’ll save them as there is nothing I want to buy in the January PS Store sale that I haven’t bought already. Today finally completed the campaign of Space Marine 2. The final mission was by far the best and meaty. Final boss was good then went kinda weird going into a cut scene to finish him off. Good game though but spoilt for me with the standard PS5 poor resolution and stuttering performance - why i put it to one side for a while - but much improved on PS5 Pro once the patch was released. 8/10 on the r-score-o-meter. I’ll play the operations missions on and off over the coming weeks. I think next for me is Spider-Man 2.

Completed Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Really excellent game. It’s like the movie in a game with excellent voice acting, cutscenes and story all nailing the nostalgia from the movies. Great exploration and varied open world areas. Good combat and stealth but nothing new in a game play sense. Highly recommend this game. Best new story and character driven action adventure to come along for a good while. 9/10 on the r-score-o-meter.
Not sure what to play next. I’ve just bought the Alan Wake 2 DLC campaigns in the January sale, and I have Spider-Man 2, Stalker 2, Space Marine 2 and HZD remastered in the backlog. I think Stalker 2 is too bleak and oppressive for me at the moment but it does look good.

I loved Origins and Mirage. Phil it’s a big no from me on Valhalla. After 30 hours repeating the same clear the map chore and not even half way through the campaign - having focused on it - I gave up. Massive chore of a game.

Sorry for me 274 hours. Finally have access again to my wrap up. I definitely game less than my height of the 360/PS3 era but still get through a game a month probably and still play multiplayer regularly.

I’m further into Indiana Jones. They really have nailed it. The characters, story, world, puzzles, game play all feels like you’re playing in an interactive movie. Can’t fault it in terms of every aspect feeling like Indiana Jones. The cutscenes are very well done and the dungeon areas like a proper adventure. The only thing that felt off at first was the stealth not having a takedown but I understand that avoiding detection or picking your fights suits Indiana Jones better than takedowns.

That’s not far off gaming 24 hours a day solid every day for almost half a year. Blimey Deckard. I looked at mine but it’s stopped working again. I think my yearly hours was 347 lol.

Played the Space Marine 2 PS5 Pro patch and it does look better. Sharper than it was and the frame rate seems decent in speed mode as compared to before which was awful.
Started Indiana Jones. So far so good. Feels like you’re playing as Indy. Good and varied environments, light puzzles, lots of sneaking and fist fights. No complaints so far. Very polished too, a bit like a Sony game in that sense.

Space Marine 2 PS5 Pro patched

Downloaded Indiana Jones. Probably won’t start it until Thursday but very much looking forward to it.
Yea Mirage I liked. I don’t want a 50-80 hour AC game and Mirage suited me well.
