Played some more Space Marine 2. I was gonna leave it for my Pro but I have nothing else I want to play. Played two more campaign missions and one operation with randoms. Yea it’s really good. Lots of fun. Although I can’t believe I’m half way through the campaign already but I guess the operations are basically campaign. I doubt I’ll complete all missions by the time I get my Pro so hopefully fingers crossed a Pro patch is released.

Also seem to have an annoying bug with my console. When switching on from rest mode after signing in I don’t get a crossbar just the background. Power down sorts it but I think it’s a firmware thing and not a hardware problem.

Yea the story is still exceptional - a good story stands the test of time - but it was mainly the game itself. Just a little dated but still good. I enjoyed it much much more when I first played it on 360. In fact at the time it blew me away. It was one of the first games I played on 360.

I played ME1 LE probably a year or more ago but for me the experience was no where near as good as the first time I played it on 360. Good game but showing its age. Put me off replaying 2 and 3.

Hello all. After a week on holiday and a loss of internet for the last couple of days I can start gaming again. Over the weekend before my broadband went AWOL I managed to finish The Plucky Squire. It wasn’t a bad game. A bit too cartoonish for me but it had enough about it to keep me engaged. I liked the 3D sections and the puzzles were mostly pretty straightforward but the start stop nature and some of the mini games (the rhythm one in particular) were annoying. Probably a 6.5/10 on the r-score-o-meter.

Next. No idea. I’m not touching Space Marine 2 again until my Pro arrives.

Yea Jedi Survivor soon after launch was a woeful mess. It must have been 600p and constantly stuttering. I’ve not played it since but I will try it on ps5 pro as it’s on the pro patch list and if was some where close to 4k and a solid 60fps it would be bloody gorgeous.

If I were head of Xbox marketing the successor to Xbox series X would be Xbox 720. It would fly off the shelves. Now I’m getting back to sipping a cold beverage next to my private pool whilst the missus swims bikini clad. What all Xbox execs do after a year of great ideas.

Oh and I nearly forgot to mention. The hotel suite toilet has an arse jet wash. Only top execs get one of those. Feeling squeaky and relaxed.

I enjoyed Crysis trilogy back in the day. I’ve never considered replaying it. The first game though really surprised me with the story and environments not knowing much about the game beforehand and was somewhat surreal. Loved the second game too and it had pretty decent multiplayer. The third game was the weakest but still very good.

I’m going to use Jedi Survivor as a measure of the power improvement of the PS5 Pro when I get it as that game was f’ing awful in performance mode when I played it. Blurry fuzzy stuttering mess but a great game.

Started The Plucky Squire. Played 2 and a half hours ish and on the 5th chapter. It’s alright. Not sure it’s my thing really. I like the switching between the 2d and 3d worlds. The puzzles are ok but not very engaging. Combat so far is pretty uninteresting. See how I get on but if doesn’t grab me next time I play it I might bin it off.

The only thing I didn’t like was it was a little frustrating for my taste but it wasn’t too bad difficulty wise. Otherwise I loved the varied level design, all the different mechanics it throws at you. I wasn’t too keen on the create your platforms ability but all the others I enjoyed. Great graphics and the PlayStation characters and history were fun. And super polished with great graphics. I’ve not got much to compare it to such as Mario as I’ve never played any Nintendo games. Defo one of my games of the year.

Finished the Astro Bot campaign. Mopped up a few of the easier trophies. That’s me done with it. Unless it gets a PS5 Pro patch and then I’ll play the Lost Galaxy levels. All the main campaign systems with a final boss fight I’ve done and got all the bots and puzzle pieces.. The single life levels never to be touched again. I’ll give it a 9/10 on the r-score-o-meter.

I would play Space Marine 2 next but I’m going to wait for a PS5 Pro patch - fingers crossed. Seeing as I’ll be going on my holidays soon probably won’t start anything else for a good couple of weeks.

Yea I googled it earlier. I’m sure I’ll probably break on getting a disc drive too. I am a complete Sony haw.

No chance I'll be rebuying HZD. I do have HZD on PS4 disc. I see TLOU pt 1 is coming/already on PS+ extra so might play that on my Pro. I do have the TLOU pt 1 PS5 disc too.

I am wondering what to do about the lack of disc drive. I do have 25 PS4 disc games and 6 PS5 disc games. I think most if not all wouldn't get a Pro upgrade and nearly all I wouldn't play again anyway. The only game I'd like to play again is TLOU part 2 (PS4) which I believe you can upgrade to PS5 for a £10 (hopefully for discs too) otherwise I'd have to buy it again. And any PS4 game I can play on my PS4 Pro if I really wanted to. The only other reason to get a disc drive for my PS5 Pro is for birthday and christmas presents (from the missus). First world problems hey!

And deciding what to do with my PS5 Amateur. I might just put it in another room but with a Pro in the house I can't see me using it, even for the disc drive as I want the Pro experience.

Got to say Equinox I’ve only had my ps5 2 years. I really shouldn’t be getting a Pro if I were sensible. Saying that hands on reviewers have said it’s much better in real life and worth the extra money depending on circumstances - retaining balls etc.

Now i need to know how much RRP all those consoles cost me lol. Might straighten me out and snap me out of buying a PS5 Pro.
