The price of Terminator Resistance has been stubbingly high for a while. I'm hoping this is a sign that although it's budget game it's a good one.

Good to hear you're enjoying it Deckard. I probably will play it at some point. It does look a lot scarier than the first game.
For me over the weekend I finished out the first series of Forza Motorsport. I think all series would take me a good 60+ hours to complete so not sure when that will happen. Maybe I'l play another one or two series more but not until next year now what with the new release season here. Also played a few more games on Darktide and it looks like I have played all maps now. So I'll likely call it a day on Darktide - but a cracking fun game. I enjoyed it with randoms - seems very popular, never had a problem finding a game. It's longevity though I think comes from playing with mates and it's not on PS5 (yet). Next for me is MW3 campaign next weekend and of course the multiplayer for a few weeks after that. Then AC Mirage and possibly AW2 at christmas. I've also got to fit in Callisto Protocol and the Dead Space remake. So plenty for me lined up over the next couple of months. I'm expecting Stalker 2 won't be out soon and Spacemarine 2 I guess will be another game I'll be playing at somepoint, maybe even this Christmas (it's out soonish but I don't think it has a release date yet).

But if your expectations are low and like Terminator, it's not a bad budget effort. D..."Yea my expectations are very much not AAA. Still I’ve played some really good AA games.
Yea that’s why I’ve not bought them. They’re either games pass/ps plus extra or very cheap but still I’m keen to play them. I’ve not seen Terminator on ps plus extra.

Digital Foundry did say the first few hours of the game was more about story and exploration- which doesn’t sound that bad for my tastes. Yea if I play it I’ll defo be playing it on story difficulty.
Changing subject. I’m still looking out for Termitator Resistance to become cheap. And the new Robocop game looks good. Both AA but a bit of nostalgia and both have been well received.

Hey. I’m only going off Digital Foundry on the resolution. I may well play it and love the game one day. I mean Alan Wake 1 and Control are in my favorite games of all time. Just that scarce ammo combined with bullet sponge enemies- aka Resident Evil - ain’t my bag and neither is solving crime. I commit it 😀.
Glad you’re enjoying it.

I've been reading the reviews for Alan Wake 2. It's been very well received. Although that doesn't mean it's for me. My concerns were founded - Resi clone with crime investigation. Could float the boat of many but I'm a defo on the fence with AW2. And although Digital Foundary said the world created is full of detail and graphics effects, superb lighting and atmosphere the game is low resolution. In performance mode approx 800p and in quality mode approx 1200p. It might look atmospheric and detailed but 800p - it's not even Full HD - and apparently is full of aliasing and jaggies. Which is a bit like Jedi Surivor - looked awful because of the resolution even though you could see the graphics behind the blur were otherwise good. I'm a bit disappointed but I'll consider getting it at some point as it may surprise me. Like I said it's clearly a cracking game but not all cracking games appeal to everyone and this is the case for AW2 for me at the moment.

And torches and batteries !
Loved the atmosphere in Alan Wake. And the combat I really liked although I know some didn't. Had a good mix of horde moments - remember the music stage. Alan Wake 2 looks like a different game game play wise - same type of atmosphere as 1 - but appears on the face of it to copy Resi Evil in bullet sponge enemies and more one-on-one mini-boss encounters (i.e. more bullet spongey overall).

Defo a game I might replay one day.

I replayed Alan Wake remaster on my series X. Still as good as when I first played it - it's aged well. I have it on PS5 too - due to the freebie on PS+ - so I might replay it a second time.

Morning all. Not a lot of gaming for me at the weekend. No gaming on Saturday but I did game most of the afternoon on Sunday. Just playing more Darktide which I feel I've seen nearly all maps now so won't play it much more, maybe an hour or two - but very good fun game. And more Forza Motorsport - I've got four races to complete my first tour, another four/five tours to go, and I think once I've completed my first tour it will be an occassional play now and again game. For some reason it's just not floating my boat - I mean it looks good, plays good but it feels very grindy too soon - perhaps it's just me. I've played nearly all Forza Motorsports and all Horizons and perhaps I've just had my fill but the tour feels a bit bland to me.

Great games from graphics, polish and swingi..."Yea at the end of the day it's what floats your boat. Spiderman is definitely a polished game and few match it for polish except maybe other PS exclusives. I just don't vibe with spiderman and although swinging around and the fighting in spiderman is polished it just doesn't get me excited. Strange as I was quite happy delivering parcels in Death Stranding lol and I'm looking forward to Mirage (how many AC games have there been lol) but AC when they get it right I love (not Valhalla) and Mirage looks like a return to the type of AC I like - short, focussed, great combat and stealth, great world and doesn't outstay its welcome.

I'm not excited by Spiderman 2. I played the first two but for some reason spiderman doesn't float my boat as a character - prefer Batman. Great games from graphics, polish and swinging around at great speed through a city, but I find the rest of the game play seen it done it all before and with the character not my thing it doesn't make for much excitement for me. I'll wait when it's on PS+ Extra in 12-18 months time or so.
My back log is growing though. My missus is either getting me Alan Wake 2 or Assassin's Creed Mirage for my birthday, there is Callisto Protocol on PS+ and soon to be the Dead Space remake on games pass, MW3 is out soon and I'm playing Darktide and Forza plus my wishlist is growing. Good times.

I googled best class and saw some people saying veteran but it’s quite a conventional class. I really like the look of the big fella.

Hi all. I’ve had a good few afternoons gaming. I must have completed a good 10 missions of Darktide with randoms. It’s a really good fun co-op game and very much like left4dead. I’ve only played on the easiest difficulty, I did do one mission on the next highest difficulty, but it can be tricky at times but not too bad. I can’t see me playing this long term but once I’ve played all maps I reckon I’ll get my fun out of it. If it ever comes on PS5 definitely worth a look. Also played nearly one series on the new Forza Motorsport. It’s good but it lacks race options. I really don’t like being forced into practice laps before every race. It’s like artificial filler. The actual races are good and the physics and graphics excellent but I’m getting a feeling of burnout already. And I played a lot of the MW3 multiplayer beta on PS5. It’s COD but I do love the old MW2 maps, they are excellent especially Highrise and Estate. The gunplay mechanics feel even more refined. For all the criticism COD gets it’s a very refined game.
DeckardCain's Sandals wrote: "I'd be a bit interested in a PS5 Pro. There's definitely been a few too many games that struggle with both frame rate and visuals, Ok maybe struggle is too strong a word, but less than perfect anyw..."Yea have to admit some games even from quality devs have been a bit mixed - take Jedi Survivor, 720p and choppy frame rate. Difficult to understand how it can be so bad. Darktide on Series X looks 720p too. It’s bizarre. I was expecting at least 1800p 60fps minimum this gen but rarely games are this. So if PS5 Pro is a locked 4K 60fps then I might be tempted.
I’ve been playing Darktide and completed 3 missions, failed two, all with randoms. It is a really decent fun game very much like left4dead but with more leveling of weapons and characters. Only thing that lets it down are the graphics. Great environments but just low resolution, a bit like Jedi Survivor. Just trying to get on the Modern Warfare 3 beta but not looking good.
Phil, psn: p4tiny wrote: "So what do folks make of the upcoming smaller ps5?
Officially unveiled yesterday, but is the same form factor that was leaked back in August. If I wanted digital only then I would lap it up, but I..."Yea I don’t like the new slim disc version. Looks wrong. It’s even got a little retractible leg stand - for horizontal orientation- which looks like it’s made of clear plastic. I’m not the biggest fan of the PS5 design but other than the slight size reduction it looks worse.
Strong rumours of a Pro model next year too. I liked both my PS4 Pro and One X but they had a clear need being the first 4K consoles. I’m very skeptical the PS5 Pro will have enough of a tangible benefit although I’m getting pretty miffed with the number of 30fps games coming out this gen so if it solves that issue I might be tempted but it might be better to wait for PS6.

Morning all. I’ve been on holiday in Greece, got back Tuesday and managed to game for the first time yesterday. Played the new Forza which is very very good. Even managed to play multiplayer which had practice, qualifying and then the race which was very tense and I didn’t finish last. Going to be playing Forza a lot. I've tried Warhammer Darktide but only managed to play the Prologue so far. I need to play some more but initial impressions are mixed - graphics and performance aren’t the greatest. I need to give it more time. I’ve got too much to play now what with Callisto Protocol on ps plus.

A four player CO-OP with mates/randoms/bots against overw..."Only warhammer video game I've ever played is Space Marine 1 which was really very good at the time. I have watched some game play videos of Darktide and it does look very good. I'd only ever play it single player (maybe try it with randoms too) so hopefully it's good solo. I was fine playing Back 4 Blood solo and with randoms so here's hoping. My gaming mates are on PS5 so miss out playing with mates on XBox.

I think it's a timed exclusive.
