I got 5 books read this week! I caught up and am now 1 book ahead of my good reads challenge schedule.1. I finished ‘A Court of Wings and Ruin’ by Sarah J Maas, which is the 3rd book in the ACOTAR series.
2. I read ‘A Court of Frost and Starlight’ by Sarah J Maas, which is book 3.1 in the ACOTAR series, and sets up for book 4.
3. I read ‘A Court of Silver Flames’ by Sarah J Maas, which is book 4 in the ACOTAR series. It just came out Tuesday so I used it for a book published in 2021 and it was really good overall!
4. I read ‘Beasts and Beauty’ by A. Lonergan, which is the second book in this series and is a beauty and the beast retelling. I also enjoyed this overall and recommend!
5. I finally finished ‘The Wicked King’ by Holly Black, this is the second book in The Folk of the Air, and was also pretty goood. Huge plot twist at the end though!
I read ‘A Court of Silver Flames’ by Sarah J Maas which is the 4th book in the ACOTAR series. It came out this past Tuesday 2/16/21. If you love this series I highly recommend!
For this week I was preparing for ‘A Court of Silver Flames’ by Sarah J Maas release, so I read ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ and ‘A Court of Mist and Fury’. I also started ‘A Court of Wings and Ruin’. Anyone else excited for ACoSF??
I technically finished ‘#Blocked’ on the 31st, but accidentally added it to last week. I didn’t finish any other books this week, it was a long week at work and I didn’t have a ton of time to read! I’ve started re-reading the ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas though to prepare for the next book to come out next week!
I’m also re-reading ‘Crescent City: A House of Earth and Blood’ by Sarah J Maas with a friend, but we’re reading 100 pages or so a week so it will be almost 2 months til I finish that one!
How is everyone else doing?
Kiandra wrote: "Okay, I'm not doing something right. My goal and such is still at 0.🤔"Did you create a book shelf when you made the challenge?
Deb wrote: "I just read The Time Keeper. There is a song called Timekeeper and I was wondering if that was a stretch or if the book would fit elsewhere."I think that should be fine! I’m not use what the book is about though so I don’t know where else it might fit
This week I finished 3 books.First I finished ‘The Crue Prince’ by Holly Black. This takes place in the land of faerie, and follows a mortal after her parents have been murdered and her taken to faerie with her sisters by said murderer. I also used this for the category “a book everyone seems to have read but you”
Next I finished ‘Kingdom of Ash and Briars’ by Hannah West. This is a fairy tale retelling that combines a few different fairytales, such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty being prominent. I really enjoy this book, this was my second time reading it.
Last I read ‘#Blocked: A Social Media Love Story’ by Savannah Thomas, which follows a ‘bad boy’ Bo Blaine as he tries to woo Winter, a social media star. But can he show her the real him? Or will she believe what all the tabloids have posted? I also used this for the category of “a book with less than 1,000 ratings”. It came out last year.
I read ‘The Cruel Prince’ by Holly Black. I tried to pick it up a couple years ago but didn’t get into it, but now I’m hooked! Onto the rest of the series!
I read #Blocked: A Social Media Love Story by Savannah Thomas for this category and I thought it was super cute! It was a fast read too.
For this one you can also use ‘Undercover Bromance’ and ‘Crazy Stupid Bromance’ by Lyssa Kay Adams, which are in the Bromance Book series books 2 and 3. Both are super good!
For this week I read 2 books.I read ‘Red, White, and Royal Blue’ by Casey McQuinston, which is a book in which we discover what happens when the first son of the United States falls in love with the Prince of England. It’s hilarious too- reads very much like a rom com.
I also read ‘Ashes to Ashes’ by A. Lonergan, which is a Cinderella retelling that has tons of twists and was super good! I used this for a title with the same name as a song.
Kiandra wrote: "Can this be done through the app which I'm using currently?"You will need to do it on the internet browser, whether that is on your phone or a computer. For some reason it only works there.
Kiandra wrote: "I've read 3 books so far. I can't figure out how to add them and I read them before joining this Popsugar Challenge group."Create the challenge for yourself in this group’s challenge, then it will ask you to make a bookshelf. Shelve any book for the challenge there, and as long as you have read it this year it will count.
