Aww... Nothing really gets done here without the head mod giving a poke and a push. :) Don't mind me, just old gal's rumbling. He he.

Stick to the rules, I'll be editing things when I'm back.
Have fun playing!

I'm somewhat sorry to announce that I'll be absent for the next three weeks or so due to a trip. My access to Internet will be very limited which makes me unable to play for that time. Quests will be put on hold, Dae will also withdraw for the time being not to hold up anyone's game. But I'll use the time to get some rest for my brain, find new inspiration and generate new ideas. (Currently I am in a somewhat depressed mood, which is not good for communicating with people at all.)
Now, I'm leaving Sarah in charge, so please keep following the rules. Stick to the outlines of the world and the possibly logical course of events, and post all off-topics in appropriate sections or in separate posts so that I can edit them out later. Use proper language, no sex, bla bla... Well, you know. Or at least know where the rules are. I might be checking on you from time to time. :D
And don't let the group die out - use the chance to create: new creatures, new artifacts, new situations, new secondary characters, new locations (I'll leave an empty topic for a new location in case you might need one). Basically, I want to read something interesting when I'm back!
Reminder to active players: you all have three slots for main characters, so if you don't know what to do with your existing ones - maybe you should create a new one and add a little intrigue to the whole thing. Or make more short-time secondary characters.
Advise to readers: this is an advanced game and I try to keep it high quality, but use the little freedom and maybe give it a try at playing with us. We don't bite. Well, most of the times. :D
For the time of my absence new characters are (almost) automatically accepted into the game. With Sarah's consent, of course. For the 'automatically' thing to work you have to fill all required fields in the character request section. And yes, no god-modding. And if you decide your character has already been on the island for a while now, don't forget to add a good reason why the Keepers haven't noticed his presence so far. Not that I'm against the fact. I might be editing the whole thing when I'm back anyways. :P
Well, all in all, have fun!
The Keeper.

The deity watched them carefully, barely moving.
"Erm... I'm very sorry to bother you... sir." Dae searched for words. "We're looking for a stream. It's running through this forest. Maybe you know if we are walking the right direction?"
The reply came not exactly the way they expected, but Dae was a bit used to talking to divine ones so it didn't startle him.
The voice of the creature was quiet and confident. It was similar to the rustle of leaves in the trees, to the sound of flowing water, to the hiss of blowing wind. And although the two could hear it clearly, physically the creature didn't say a word. It was all in their heads.
"Yes, you are." Replied the horned deity simply and left, dissolving into the dim light of the forest.
Dae flinched at the feeling the voice left in his head. It was like itching to him. And it was irritating.
"Oh well. Good to know." He nodded. "Let's go then." He swiftly continued in the direction they were walking before and disappeared out of view.

Noticing the door, she frowned and with a swift movement made it disappear again. It was out of order.
((According to the rules you can not make doors or anything appear. You can only influence the objects and situations given to you. If you do that correctly, you'll get your door (or a portal) as a result.))

Dae put his hand on Anne's arm to stop her from putting the sword to use. "Besides, I wouldn't just go swinging weapons in front of a deity, even if it was just a minotaur. And wouldn't call it 'idiotic', too. I kinda like my lifespan being as long as it is."

It is well known from the history of the Labyrinth that the Crimson Witch loved toying with other people lives. And did not appreciate to be toyed with in return. Having great magical power as well as the forces of a Creator in her hands she did not hold curses of any colour and form in abomination.
One of the Characters who got to feel her wrath personally is the mischievous shape-shifter Morph. There is – depending on the point of view, of course - a positive side to his curse as his powers multiplied, yet he is not able to leave the island anymore.
"I would like to move away, but unfortunately I am bound to this place until the Crimson Witch returns." – Morph as 'Teddy' explaining his situation to Lysander.
A possibility exists that there are many more objects enchanted or cursed by the Witch on the island. Or by the place’s current inhabitants as they do not go unaffected by the magic. As well as the magic has many times proven to have a life of its own, so most likely to get cursed there one way or the other is just a piece of cake.
Another type of curses known on the island is the ones that were cast outside the island’s boundaries or the ones being of greater scale. An example of that would be Riin's inability to die since she is not accounted in this world Death's inventory lists. As a downside she is still vulnerable to any kind of injuries that might be inflicted on her.

The Crimson Witch is known to be the former tenant of the island. She is a demiurge – a creator-god – who as lore has it created the Labyrinth on this island to exercise her magic and keep herself entertained by leading Quests and granting Wishes of adventurers and heroes. The number of heroes, who were very common back in the days, dwindled, making the Witch retire and leave the island in an unknown direction.
The Witch is ancient like all creators, but no one can really tell her true age. She has lived on the island for thousands of years. Her origins are also unknown.
"1000 years?" "So, you are from the Witch's times then." - Anne and Riin, addressing Morph.
She (or possibly he) is a creature of many faces. One of her other known personas is a vampire from the Malkavian clan, immortal being cursed with a unique kind of insanity.
One of her divine symbols is known to be a dice, representing the luck of adventurers entering her realm and the unpredictable twists of fate that awaited them. Also, due to its form a dice is symbolic for building blocks the Witch used to create her worlds.
The Witch was accompanied by her Cat – the former Keeper of the place. During her travels she sought out apprentices to continue her work, Dae being one of them. Riin became the second Keeper of modern history through her relationship to Dae.
A number of well-known characters have either been acquainted to the Witch, or have traveled to her island before.
"The Witch even introduced us (my brother, to be true) to Alice herself." - Riin explaining her relationship to the Cheshire Cat and his fellow characters to Anne.
"That Evil Queen has been bugging the Crimson Witch by calling her regularly with her magic-mirror-communicator-thingie. The lady wanted something from the Labyrinth's vault, a potion to enhance her powers, I believe. The Witch.... Well, she told her to go fu... ghm, cough... to a land far far away." - Dae telling Anne about the Snow White fairy-tale.
The Witch also was kind enough to let a number of adventurers stay on the island after completing or failing their Quests, but seemed to be short-tempered with those who displeased her.
The Witch in her stories did tell him of people who remained on the island after their Quests. Or some 'unfortunate accidents' she did not name then, and Dae had to investigate himself.

The creature turned it's head towards the two. The cloak's hood slipped revealing two big ox horns on top of it.

"Ah...!" Said Dae a bit astonished when he could see the figure more clearly.
"Mmm?" Replied the figure without turning to face them.

The shadow moved some more and stopped there, apparently listening to them whispering.

He considered moving closer to the shadow and checking.
"Could be an animal. Or some other creature. Or maybe a shadow from some other layer of reality. Or one of you castaways..." He shook his head. "No, cross the last one out, you feel differently in the 'noise'."

A collection of facts about the island of the Labyrinth and the realms inside the Labyrinth. Everything, starting with different phenomena, curiosities of nature, creatures, deities and particular places etc. 'Weirdness' as Anne called it. :D Mainly everything is based on general world mythology and players' imagination.
I'll be filling this section when I have time and interest to do so (according to what has been played already or some sketches of what might be played I have in my mind - logical guessing, so to say).
Other players are also welcome to post here too, from their point of view on the world we're creating, I don't mind off-topics (which will be edited and re-posted or deleted in a while depending on their content).

"See what?" He asked carefully, not noticing Anne's grip on his arm at all.
