1107032 Did a quick search and found you this:

He's a Marine but regardless, he was injured in a motorcycle accident. So your Marine could have got in a brawl in a bar, a vehicle accident, or even fell from a ladder while hanging Christmas lights.

1107032 Holy cow dude. Did you fall asleep for 30hrs afterwards? That's a lot of work.

I still don't have time to write. I'm hoping beginning of May I can start. Although I do have a great idea for a 'coma' type While You Were Sleeping movie too =D.

1107032 Wow a Collab app, that's pretty cool! Thanks for sharing with us Tarryn-Anne!

1107032 I'm thinking the same for me, early May. Luckily I have some time to read which spurs ideas and a note pad is not far away but, having time to sit and type is not happening anytime soon.

1107032 The good news is i'm still writing. The bad news is its not a novel, its a company policy manual haha. Very not interesting. Still it helps with my vernacular and composition. Its not all bad.

How is everyone else doing?

1107032 Sounds much better than the 'Write Your First Novel' and your right, Brando Skyhorse is an awesome name. Straight from a fantasy novel.

Brando Skyhorse is an American author. He won the 2011 PEN/Hemingway Award and the 2011 Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction for his novel The Madonnas of Echo Park.

Just looked him up. Looks like he teaches out of Indiana. I'm going to try and get everything at work straightened up to see if I can take the course later in the year. Thanks for the feedback Eleanor.

1107032 Eleanor,

Are you enjoying 'The craft of the plot' more than 'write your first novel'?

1107032 With no hope for continuing, she builds him a future but her way seems barricaded as he encounters her past. How then can they help each other forward when assumptions and motivations constantly shift around them?

I said this in my deep narrator voice after reading yours and just thought it sounded cool. Either way, I'm not a BIG western person but that legendary weapon line kinda got me... When's your first chapter?
Mar 23, 2022 09:52AM

1107032 Your logline sounds like a good western.

1107032 I see what your doing with your big idea but it loses it cool, shes doing this but he's doing that when the city comes into the wording because you also identify the city as being female.

What if you wrote,

and the city holds secrets of ITS own, lurking beneath the hot springs and buried deep within the silver mines...

1107032 Hi Paul,

I'm just getting back into the swing of things, gimme a few days and I'll be happy to get you some feedback.

1107032 Hi everyone. I'm just getting back.

Welcome back Eleanor! I got stuck myself in my recent novel and think I am going to let this one simmer and jump back into my more previous novel that I was working on with new ideas. So, kind of bummed to be leaving this one smoking at 70k words but its not a flushed out as I want it to be.

1107032 Okay I'm taking off again. I'll be back online at the end of March where I hope to be caught up enough to start writing again.

Busy busy.

I believe if it inspires you in anyway to write and isn't offensive to anyone, then we should share with our community that which motivates us through hopes of breeding fire into others.

Yeah I know how that goes. I haven't had a chance to open my novel in progress and I probably wont be able to until April. That being said I haven't read anyone's work either. The only thing I have time to do is write in my scratch pad. I am thinking of leaving this novel alone and going back to my 2nd novel from my trilogy now, fired up with new ideas and re-writing it until finished. Then coming back to this one and finishing it as I think the story within the story about the pantheon that links all my works together would be better received.

1107032 Alright, I'm about halfway through my work. Still haven't had the chance to write anything but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Anyone fairing any better?
Mar 04, 2022 07:23AM

1107032 That's true. Here in Arizona they used hotels to accommodate immigrants crossing the boarder.

Of course I don't mind. This site is for GODS, this is not my site, it is our site. I see the scales, they look amazing. Even the reptilian skin tags are there. That is very cool.

pun intended.

1107032 Did you find an apartment? I just got back and I'm swamped. I don't think I'll be able to start working on my book until the end of the month.
