Carducci wrote also about Perugia (he came often here, for the final exams at school, as president of commission) and against the Pope, who built the Fortress on half of the city center on top of the houses of the noble families who opposed him.
Nice and ironic poetry that one, even if not so "fundamental"

I've read it at the seaside with almost no connectionat all.
I have to say I liked it a lot: a "mystery" I had not cleared till the last page - but that's not so unusual for me! - but a lot more than that: I've founf it a book on coping, with hardships, loneliness, abandonment. A book on poetry, on the poetry of nature. A book to read
