[[Ok!]]

Regan took a step back. This fantasy was so beautiful. She looked at the small boy. He looked like Reaper, but not exactly. She wondered who he was. She looked over at Reaper to see how he reacted. She felt the power flowing between them and hoped she had enough strength to keep them going.

Regan nodded. She was still nervous, but she agreed. “I promise.” She hesitated and then took his hand.

Regan held back. “I don’t know...” she said reluctantly.

“It’s fine.” Regan said quietly. She pulled her hood up, hiding her face. She didn’t want him to see her tears.

Regan looked stunned. She accepted their hugs, but her expression was blank. She looked at Reaper. “Take me back.” She ordered, her voice wavering. “This is not real. Take me back.” She couldn’t stand it. She knew it was just a fantasy and none of this was true. Even if it was, she knew her parents wouldn’t be happy to see her. Especially not after what she had become.

Regan sighed. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “I just want to know my real family.” She said quietly. “I want to know my parents and ask them why they abandoned me all those years ago...”

Regan held out her hand to him. She braced herself, waiting to feel the drain. She just hoped he wasn’t lying. She hoped he wouldn’t attack her again. She didn’t know if she could hold him off this time.

“I’ll give you some of my power freely, but only if you promise not to kill me.” Regan said. She knew she had a secret power source. If she could access it, then she would have extra energy.

“Uh, no?” Regan said. “What if I said I can make you a better trade?”

“How is that a fair trade?” Regan asked sarcastically.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Regan demanded. “So is that why I was so drained?”

“What’s wrong?” Regan asked concerned. There was nobody around to attack them. They were alone. So what was going on?

Regan took his hand and pulled herself up. “I’m Regan. Wanted by MAPA.” She laughed. She stood up shakily and steadied herself against a tree.

Regan’s eyes glinted mischievously. “If you’re aiming for the school, count me in. I’ve got some...experience...in causing chaos there.”

Regan groaned and sat up farther. “Why would you want to go back there?” She shook her head, trying to clear it.

Regan crossed her arms and opened her golden-yellow eyes, looking at him defiantly. “What do you want? Why are you going to into so much trouble for... what? Me?” She glared at him.

“Why would I help you?” Regan growled. “You might have forgotten, but i am not here because I want to be.”

Regan tensed. “What does that mean?” She demanded. Whatever he had planned couldn’t be good.

Regan groaned. She shook her head and pulled herself up into a sitting position with her back against a tree. She grabbed her head, a pounding headache starting. “What do you want with me?” She growled. She kept her eyes closed because she could see better through the earth than she could her eyes.
