Regan came up behind the boulders. She looked around and quietly closed the path behind her. She put her hood up and stepped out of the shadows. No one had seen her come up. She looked around a noticed a girl standing a ways away. Regan stood still, hoping she wouldn’t notice her. She didn’t feel like talking to anyone right now, especially if they were a MAPA student. She pulled her hood down farther, hiding her eyes.

The staircase was pitch black and the steps became steeper. Regan pulled a few more glowing rocks out to light her way. After a few more steps, she bumped her head on the top. The surface was only a few feet above. Regan sensed a few boulders to her left and extended the pathway over to them. Then she went up.

Regan turned back to her labyrinth. This place was a maze if you didn’t know it. She opened a secret passageway and took a spiraling staircase up that would lead her out into the open. But the question was: where would she end up?

Regan sighed and handed him the light. “Just follow this path straight ahead. Don’t turn off of it for any reason or you might not find your way out again.” She warned.

Regan snuck a smile. Her hood was up and the glow didn’t reach her face so nobody saw. She was happy. She had actually done something right for once and people actually appreciated it.
Now, I just need to not destroy it. She thought grimly.

“Please do!” Regan told Thing. She turned to Daegon. “Do you think the other villains will agree to moving down here?”

Regan totally jumped. “Don’t do that!” She yelled. “I hate surprises!”

Regan led him down a long hall. “There are lots of large open rooms to the right and left.” She walked down a little farther. “And look what I found over here!” She started jogging and led him to a spacious room filled with the glowing stone. There was an underground spring bringing in fresh, clean water. “Well?”

“It’s earth.” Regan said sarcastically. “We will have to put in lights.” She thought for a second. “Hold on, I’ll get something.” She felt under the ground, looking for a certain stone. Finally, she found it. There was a small rumble and a stone rose out of the ground. It glowed pale blue, but was bright enough to light their way. Regan broke off a piece and held it up, lighting their way.

Regan laughed and followed close behind. They went down the stairs and onto a flat surface. She shuddered, it was dark down here!

Regan took a deep breath and unclenches her fist. A small hole opened in the corner created by the three rocks. Regan walked to the edge and looked down. There were earth steps leading down into darkness. “After you.” She mock bowed at moved aside for him.

Regan finally looked up. She was sweating like she had run a marathon and breathing like it too. “Are you ready?” She panted. She had finished. It was complete.

Regan opens one eye and glances at him. “Just wait.” She growled and turned back to her work.

Regan took a deep breath and felt beneath the earth. The area under them was mostly clear of large rocks except fro a few slightly to the left. Regan moved her hands around, but nothing happened. She wasn’t disturbed by this and kept moving her hands around. She was breathing heavily and sweat was dripping down her face, but nothing was happening.

“Fine. I will.” Regan said, holding her head up high. She looked around and decided on a small patch of ground, bordered in three sides by rocks.

Regan put her hand in her pocket and touched the small stone. She looked at Daegon defiantly. “If I can’t then we are right back where we started. If I can, we have a whole new base. What have you got to lose?”

Regan rolled her eyes. “Under the ground!” She practically yelled. “They will never know it’s there!”

Regan looked down at her hands and had an idea. “What if I could make one?”

“You also might need a better hideout.” Regan suggested. “One that isn’t so easy to find and penetrate?” She ignored his look.

Regan heard the last bit and got annoyed. “Of course they are going to be hard to finish off.” She accused. “You need to get everyone working together.” She pounded her fist into her hand. There was a large crash behind her and she turned around hesitantly. The rock pillar she had been making was flattened. It didn’t just fall over, Regan had actually flattened it. Now, the big boulders were all in little pieces smaller than her hand. “Oops!” She said embarrassed.
