Challenge Complete - I listened to the audiobook of Snow White and Rose Red by Ed McBain. This book stretched a bit in the comparison to any fairytale - but it was an OK mystery novel and I wouldn't mind reading more from this author. It didn't stand out, but it's fast paced and a quick, interesting read.
1. I missed April, May, June and Sept- I was in a massive reading slump2. Name or Number was hard for me - August
3. Least favorite motif - December - Sugar and Spice ... I need to be sweeter or something.
4. Favorite Motif - Author Introduction
Challenge Complete! I read Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano. It's a rom-com and mystery at the same time. It was a light fun read as the main character is a bit of a mess - and certainly got herself in some messy situations.
This was the most challenging challenge that I did - but I loved that it challenged my reading choices.1. I missed April and June
2. I used December's "Freebie" month to catch up on May and November.
3. Fave book - In February, I read All Systems Red, Martha Wells - I went on to read the entire series (4 novellas and 1 novel) in 2020. Also loved Girl, Woman, Other - Bernardine Evaristo (October)
4. Fave discovery - novellas! I think I'm going to read a lot more for next year's challenges.
5. Least favorite book read for the challenge - This Is How You Lose the Time War, Amal El-Mohtar (August)
