Kelter’s writing style is evident from the opening lines – ‘Sonny DeLuca lay comatose in a Long Island hospital, kept alive by life support machines. There are medical terms for obstructions of the circulatory system…In Sonny’s case, the flow of blood to his vital organs was impeded by a pair of led slugs. I’m not sure what that’s called, only that the prognosis was bleak, bleak as in knocking on death’s door, bleak as in all the Lipitor in the world wasn’t going to push those tow slugs out of the way…’

As a kind gesture, Kelter allows us to meet the title character: ‘My name is Stephanie Chalice and I was, until recently, a New York City homicide detective. I was injured in the line of duty by an errant bullet that had hit the sidewalk, ricocheted, and struck me in the back of the head. I am also confused by your ratings. ALL of your reads are 5 stars?? if its not, it only goes on Amazon?? Why wouldn't you post them on Goodreads as well, being that you have many followers, that would love to read your opinion on non 5 star books. I don't believe that every book you read is a 5 star book.

I give my opinion that can range from 1 star to 5 stars. If I commit to a book then I become involved with it and usually have a love affair with it while I'm reading it. If not, I either discard it or finish it and point out why it didn't work for me with fewer stars. These I rarely post on Goodreads, just Amazon. Doubt that answers your question, but...
