Testing

[close] The Seven Stages War left the earth in ruins. During the first four stages, soldiers killed each other, governments bombed each other, cities were reduced to rubble. The earth was poisoned by the war, making it deadly to humans. Animals and plant life were mutated, turning once harmless house pets into dangerous monsters, and once edible vegetation to became toxic to humans. Then the earth itself retaliated. The next three stages were earthquakes of giant proportions, turning almost all man-made structures to rubble and windstorms laced with toxic chemicals. The remaining humans fought back, and soon they made parts of the earth habitable again. The United Commonwealth was created; a new government determined not to make the same mistakes that the old governments made. That determination gave birth to The Testing, a process for choosing the next generation of leaders; leaders that will make the right choices. Only the smartest get chosen, and only the best succeed. At graduation day your name is called: you have been chosen for the Testing. Good luck.
