The Climate Just Collective book club is part of the Climate Just Collective - an online publication and collective movement with the aim to promote education and raise awareness on climate justice. We focus on four key pillars - Inclusive Cities, Human Rights and Wrongs, People and Planet, and Collective Action. We update the website on the 1st of each month with new articles and guest contributions. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny #world. [close] There are five habitable planets. Earth, which is inhabitable now. Persephone, a planet for the rich and powerful. This planet is full of lush green valleys and tropical foods. Xena, a worker planet. Where most people go to work, mining all of its natural resources for the other planets uses. Nuna, a small planet, no bigger than the moon. With harsh cold temperatures, but a great atmosphere. Voltor, a planet for refugees from the dying earth. Overpopulated and being destroyed quickly by pollution, this planet is similar to earth but more fragile.
