The Arcane, from the Higher Realm. They are the powerful, the protectors of those who are weaker. They are like gods and angels, and their powers are blessed. The Extortion, who seek all power and aim only to destroy. They are from the Lower Realm, like demons, and their powers are dark. Heaven and Hell have ravaged the world, fighting for dominance. And Earth? Earth has the Preternatural, the closest thing to the human race left. They have the widest, most unaspected range of ability - not nearly as great, but light and dark...and something else. The Institute is the lone academy left, the strongest structure for the Preternatural. It is meant to train those who remain, to battle the Extortion. To hold off the Arcane. No matter your age or ability, you will be trained to rise through the ranks. And you will graduate to become a warrior.
