message 1: by Justicebennett (new)

Justicebennett Ok so about four years ago I read a book that's name I have completely forgotten. It was apart of a series and I've been looking for it ever since I first read it. the only way I can describe it is that there was this boy who was apart of the cross country team, breezes through school and was given a book of rules from his father. I can only remember a few of them and one of them is "never stop running". that rule was like, the biggest one. the one that the entire back of the book was about. he gets invited to a school for people who are exceptionally smart. after he is given the test his parents go missing (or maybe died? the next book in the series was supposed to describe what happened to them so I am not completely sure) and the only thing that is at his house is a bunch of small animals(?). he then goes to the school, following the rule stated above. he lies his way in, saying that they dropped him off or something and goes into a glass room that is in the dean's office(?). The school, which is supposed to be a high school is closer to a super expensive college. he is in a dorm that has an Indian kid who is super smart and short, a party guy who fights and two girls. one who is a big rule follower who plays the cello and a girl who I think is Asian with black hair and is psychic(?) either way they all have powers and then the guy that I can only describe as a duchebag frat guy also has powers. (you can guess who is going to be the antagonist.) then there is something to do with a knight that is the school's mascot. and they are all clones and their parents are scientists that worked together. there is some sort of portal and the final fight takes place on a mountain, I think Mount Everest. this may seem very nonsensical but if anyone knows what book I am thinking of it would be a great help if you could tell me. like I've said I've been looking for this book for a while and I think it came out in 2011 or somewhere close.

Nisha You should all read Keeper of the Lost Cities. It's about an elf girl who has telepathic abilities. She goes on adventures with her friends to find the Neverseen (antagonist) and also finds out she has more powers.
