message 1: by Alan (new)

Alan It's time to nominate books for our April group reads. In honor *ahem* of Goodreads' new Did Not Finish shelf, we're looking for books with titles that start with D, N or F. Articles (a, an, the) are ignored, so something like "The Dead Whatever Whatever" is perfectly acceptable.
-Books from previous group reads are NOT eligible. See the next post for our previously read D, N and F titles.
-Authors may NOT nominate their own books.
-Books with the most +1s are more likely to make the poll. The top two vote getters will be our reads.

OK, Aficionados, let's get creative with some good DNF books!

Librarian Nowhere Burning
Two siblings flee to an abandoned ranch in the Rockies, hoping to find refuge among the feral children who've claimed it — only to find something far darker waiting.

The Delicate Dependency
When a vampire abducts his daughter, a Victorian doctor pursues her across Europe, uncovering a secret society of immortals who have quietly shaped human history for centuries.

edit: I have the wrong book listed above. It should be The Nightmare Man. The Nightmare People is the sequel and, as sequel usually do, would probably make more sense if you've read the first book. Sorry about that.

That completely misses the theme.

Alan I was a little worried this theme might be too confining, but y'all are proving that not to be so. There's been a real plethora of good suggestions. Keep em coming!
