A real head-scratcher is when Mo returns to Big Bear to see Burns and Kyle and ends up staying up there overnight. Anyone else find it outrageously unlikely that Mrs. Kaminski wouldn't be crawling out of her skin with worry that her 16-year old only child (who very recently almost died!) never came home last night? Please, if I missed the passage explaining all this, fill me in. Thanks!

Did anyone else feel a confusion over Ann and Finn's relationship? I felt like it was too shallow and there was not enough depth describing it. I kept waiting for the author to show Ann's real emotions over the tragedy at some point, like there would be something more to it, to her motherly grief, but it felt very fleeting and not deep.

He was hanging and she couldn't get him up, then she panicked and opened her hand to let go so she can be saved. The fabric was tied to her wrist so Kyle didn't fall to his death and eventually made it back up, but he saw that she opened her hand to let go.
