Diana Pimentel Its more in the same universe, but not really involving the same characters as ¨The Outsiders¨. Still the same universe though.

Don't let that comment sway you though if you like "city bad boy turned farm boy" kind of stories.
I would suggest Tex, or that was then, this is now. They're both pretty great (and an older Ponyboy's even in That was then...).(less)

In the book it mentions multiple times how all Johnny was the gang's pet and Dallas had kind of become the father figure in Johnny's life, and therefore, Johnny meant a lot more to Dallas than Ponyboy did.(less)
