Autumn great series with a slow build that really keeps you hooked from the beginning.

Rot & Ruin. Folks try to YA it, but it ain't happening. Too much blood & gore.

Dead City series by Joe McKinney.

If you're invested in the sci-fi aspects of a good Zombie novel, or want something with a twist, I'd recommend The Extinction Cycle by Nicholas Sansbury Smith.

Amanda Carr Robin Hobb and Patrick Rofthus are my favourites.
Also like Mark Lawrence, Peter Newman and Joe Abercrombie.
All have great series if books.

Anissa I'm pretty well committed to The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey. It began with Leviathan Wakes & Persepolis Rising is out later this year. I've a good bit of reading to do as I'm only 3 or 4 in so far between novels & novellas.

Emily My most anticipated on this list is the 3rd Magnus Chase book; but I am also really looking forward to the 6th and last installment of the Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer.

July is when Worlds Collide by Chris Colfer is coming out.

Sin Currently trying to get through the entire Realm of the Elderlings books before Assassin's Fate is released in May. (Halfway through the Rain Wild Chronicles right now). Really surprised they didn't include it on the list, maybe too complicated to list both the series and the overall series :/

I totally agree with you. I have only read the first two novels and several of the novellas but I have loved every second I have spent on this series. Right now this is my favorite series.
