I've joined a local Book Club and their choice for Feb (unintentionally i think) is Wuthering Heights :), can there be a passion and tragedy bound romantic classic for this time of the year. My current read...

Lux series!! For sure it has romance and it involves aliens! Trust me it's worth reading
Elyse wrote: "Not big into straight romance novels. I'm reading Throne of Glass!"A great book... Keep reading you will love it! :)
I like romance novels, but I will not read one especially during this week, I'm reading Raven Black by Ann Cleeves. There's a whole year to read a novel romance.

I know right? Hell, they can even make it a Detective Week, then we start with Sherlock then Poirot etc.
My suggestion for an usual type of love-story for a Valentine's Day read is How to Be a Normal Person by TJ Klune.
Not into books with all out romance and nothing else. I'm reading Traitor to the Throne the second book in the Rebel in the Sands series. Great book, bit of romance in it but it's so much more than that. Fantasy YA is good for that kind of stuff!
I'm currently reading "Anna and the French Kiss" by Stephanie Perkins, which is supposed to be one the classic contemporaries.
Maybe 14 words just doesn't work as a story length, but I too found most of those to be very poor.As for what I'm reading, nothing in honor of "romance week": I'm not a big fan of the idea of Valentine's just being about romantic love, so I didn't consider it when I picked up my current book.
Not to say I don't enjoy a good romantic plot; but as for the genre itself (beyond a few books written for other genres that also happen to count as Romance, only a few of which I've liked that much, and Outlander and probably a couple others I'm unsure how to categorize) I've not found much that sustains enough interest for me, or a good resource for recommendations. No-one I already trust does them, and those I'm less familiar with rec things that look uninteresting to me, and books I already know I don't like.
Certainly these lists here are invalidated or must be considered highly questionable with the inclusion of a 50 Shades book. Something being the latest fad is not necessarily an indication of quality.
I'm currently reading To Pleasure A Lady. Only a few pages left on this. Next will be An Oath Broken.
I'm reading "Under The Lights" by Abbi Glines but for this week of romance I totally recommend Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry which is an amazing and romantic book and also my favorite Ugly Love By Colleen Hoover
Re-reading Black Dagger Brotherhood series for the 80th time. Love cannot get any better than that!!! Thanks J.R. Ward!!!!
OK.............don't judge me...............just moved all my Danielle Steel books up to my new office. It took up 3 shelves and counting! Danielle got me reading long long ago..................for a good romance, I will always go to her!
Sophie wrote: "I´m actually needing a good romance novel... one that stick to you forever"Have you read any Monica Robinson? She's awesome
Sarah wrote: "OK.............don't judge me...............just moved all my Danielle Steel books up to my new office. It took up 3 shelves and counting! Christine Feehan's Power Game! It is so amazing just like all her other books in her different series!
Madalina wrote: "I try to avoid romance as much as possible though I dunno how I tolerate them seeing as YA is basically full of them."haha I hear ya! Same with me :)
Reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. Yes it's a fantasy, but there's some nice romances simmering under the main action.
Elyse wrote: "Not big into straight romance novels. I'm reading Throne of Glass!"OMG¡¡ I recomend you that a lot¡¡ I alredy finish the third book. I love it keep on it you won´t be dissapointed .
Is this really necessary? Why not devote a week to something other than "steamy romance" books. Some of us on here are only 12 and don't read romance, much less ones that are innapropriate. How about maybe just "love week" about general love- it can be motherly love, romantic love, whatever.
