Devil’s Blaze or Devil’s Fire? Editing a bit off in beginning. The book is rough in content but the story is ok. The female lead is weak and wishy washy. The biggest thing I noticed was the similarities to the Kit Rocha, Beyond series just not handled as well. Almost dystopian but never outright said. Lawlessness rules. Crime families and gangs rule their own little corner of the world. I hated that this was a cliffhanger. The author could have handled it the way JR Ward and Kit Rocha handle their series by making you intrigued enough in other characters to want to see them have their own books.
