Fantasy/Science Fiction
The Thorn of Emberlain

Clare wrote: "None of them. I can't think of a single book that I am actually excited to read this year."Venture out in the bookshop and buy whatever book grabs your eyes for it could be the book you wish you could re-read over and over again . *do excuse my dramtic self *
I am looking forward to ACOMAF, the 5th Throne of Glass book (which does not have a name yet) The Last Star, Glass Sword, Passenger, Lady Midnight and Magnus Bane #2 ^_^
Vannessagrace wrote: "None peak my interest. Didn't see any non-fiction books. I find it hard to believe that none made the list."Because those books cannot be in the list since they're too awesome for the list lol
Very excited to see Cronin's final book of the trilogy is coming out this year. I guess this means I should finally get around to finishing The Passage. Out of this list though, my most-anticipated book is A Gathering of Shadows. A Darker Shade of Magic was a fun and adventurous read. I can't wait to visit that world and those characters again.
I love Cassandra Clare's books, so im looking forward to Lady Midnight. The Star-Touched Queen looks like it will be a good one!
Yuen wrote: "Can't wait to read Stephen king's new book omg"What is the new Stephen King, part of a series or a new novel ?
Maybe The Passenger will grab a read from me. However, I'm catching up on my "to read" list this year.
I'm very much looking forward to End of Watch, by my glorious Stephen King--Long may you run, Steve! And as it happens, I just finished You, by Caroline Kepnes, and was overjoyed to see that there was a sequel nearly here. Joe Goldberg is an unforgettable character. He's often compared to Patricia Highsmith's Ripley, but Joe is his own man, and I'm very glad I'll have the chance to meet him again.
The third book in the Stormlight Archives, 'Oathbringer' by Brandon Sanderson. I've seen 2016 mentioned for a possible release. So that one.
I would say that none of these are my most anticipated, but "A Gathering of Shadows" is one that cannot be missed!!!!!
I'm a YA and fantasy lover and tops of my list in 2016 would be Sarah J Maas's two books, Cinda Chima's Flamecaster, Brandon Sanderson's two Wax and Wayne Mistborn books, Leigh Bardugo's Crooked Kingdom. New series and standalones I'm planning to read are Truthwitch, and Passenger.
Shelby wrote: "I AM DYING FOR LADY MIDNIGHT. It comes out right before my birthday and I'm so excited for it!"I'm so excited for Lady Midnight too! I have all the other Shadowhunter books and I've read them sooooo many times. Definitely time for something new!
Just finished the ARC of 'I Almost Forgot About You" by Terry MacMillan. THIS is gonna blow people away
There are so many great books coming out this year and I feel like I will not have enough time to read all of them! Though at least I will be able to achieve my reading challenge goal this year too! :)
Kathleen wrote: "Can you be excited for your own book? Cause yeah. :D The Fangirl Life: A Guide to Feeling All the Feels and Learning How to Deal"cool, the synopsis sounds really interesting, as a fangirl myself I'm adding this to my to-read list for this year; so now it's already two who are excited for your book ;-)
Shelby wrote: "I AM DYING FOR LADY MIDNIGHT. It comes out right before my birthday and I'm so excited for it!"YESSS ME TWOOOO
I'm not really excited about any of them. If I had to pick one it would be America's First Daughter. I don't really like contemporary fiction.
"America's First Daughter" sounds interesting. I like books about women, from any era, that had an impact on their communities. While this is an historical fiction, there is always something to learn of history in these books about women's lives, struggles, and dreams.
Jaime wrote: "I loved YOU, so I'm looking forward to hearing more from Joe Goldberg in Hidden Bodies (Carolyn Kepnes)."Why do you not like to read? Do books not ignite your imagination? If so, you are reading the wrong books. As an avid reader myself, I truly hope you will keep looking until you find a topic or writer that catches your interest because books are a window into other worlds where anything the author puts to paper is possible. I live with chronic pain from arthritis that has spread throughout my body so my books have become very important in my everlasting struggle to copy with the pain. Then, less than a year ago, I moved into a lovely apartment close to my youngest son, but they do not allow pets so I could not bring my cat with me - I've been her mother since she was born 8 years ago. So you see, books have a great deal to offer all of us and, take it from someone who once hated to read also, it is worth searching for that which will interest you. It's out there. Trust me, the search is worth it. Also, each book is then the most pleasant holiday you can imagine. Best of luck!

Dear Penny. My heart hurts for you. I can feel through your words how you love books, and the escape into another world. I am sorry that you can't have your cat because, animals also help to take away pain. There is a lot of pain, in the book Alice Had a Palace. While you are living Alice's life, you will indeed forget your pain. I wish I had the power to touch you, and your pain would go away. Sincerely, Brenda Rae Schoolcraft
Clare wrote: "None of them. I can't think of a single book that I am actually excited to read this year."I would suggest ignoring these lists and just finding your own hidden gems! :) To be honest, I am not particularly enticed to any of the books in these lists, nor to any other, uhhh, mainstream list. Please do not get me wrong when I say 'mainstream', I do read my fair share of bestsellers. What I meant is, I'm rarely aware of the latest hit lists. I just go by friends' suggestions, names that I randomly picked at the library and/or bookstore, or else just plain intuition or my own odd trends, haha. Perhaps you could tell me your favorite genres, and I'd be happy to suggest some nice books! :D
So desperate for The Thorn of Emberlain. Pretty sure I added the whole series to my to-read list, despite most of them not even having titles yet. WRITE FASTER, SCOTT LYNCH. YOU ARE KILLING ME.
None of your list but anxiously awaiting Bitter Season by Tami Hoag and The Girl You Lost by Kathryn Croft.
