Should I read Crazy Rich Asians first, since it's still AAPI month?"The first chapter is really good in its description of implicit racism but the book somehow lost my interest along the way. The film compensates for the lack of literary heft because the actors add a realistic albeit exaggerated twist to their characters.
But perhaps you will like it more than I did...
