We heard you! Due to overwhelming popular demand, we've developed a new app for all you Android aficionados out there. Wander through the stacks of your local library or peruse the shelves of your favorite bookstore while simultaneously browsing Goodreads reviews. The next time you are deciding what to read, your to-read list will be handy. We're excited to make Goodreads more mobile and easier to access, and we will continue to add fun features for Android fans!
This initial version of the Android app offers:
- Check updates from your friends and those you follow
- Read friend reviews and community reviews of any book
- Manage your bookshelves
- Search our catalog of more than 8 million books
- View your profile and browse your shelves
- Find book recommendations from friends and other readers
If you own an Android device, we hope that you will give the Goodreads app a whirl. We welcome feedback, so please rate and review the app! (For iPhone users, we have an app for you too!)

thanks for this! i'd love it if i could view the shelves of a particular book though, and if it's part of a series, if i could click the title and see the other books in the series, as well as other editions of the same book :D

It's a great application, Thank you for making it, but I have a few suggestions about some missing functions.1. I would like to Have the option to search groups. Not the once I already have
2. When I click on a link in a comment posted in a group I would like if that actually opens in the application
3. Options to add a quote
4. Also when adding a book to shelves, an option for adding it to a group.

My list of missing features:1. Some links from the update page want to be opened in a browser (this thead for instance).
2. Compare books with others.
3. Reply to a comment.
4. Like a review.
I love my Android app for goodreads. However, so far, I haven't figured out how to reverse the date and read from the latest posts to the earliest. I can't find the little triangle like the one I use on the internet connection with the computer. Am I missing something? If not, is there any way to add that? Long threads require a lot of scrolling.

Would love a barcode scanner to add a book to my lists. Can't wait to use this app.
We can view reviews and etc. but we can't read books like iPhone/iPod viewers.
Awesome app. Just one request- could we have a way of removing books we're not interested in from the recommendations list? My list is now crowded with stuff I have no interest in reading (ever), and I don't get any new ones.
Great app! Would it be possible to make group polls visible on the app in the next update?

It does not notificate when someone comment where I comment last. And I couldnt find the like button on readers' reviews.
Can't edit or delete posts, or flag spammers. Goes in at beginning of thread and no page numbers so have to scroll for ages to get to latest comment!! Cannot navigate around the site. Profiles have been removed so can't check out person you are talking to. USELESS APP FOR ANDROID!!!
Any chance to get this directly through your website instead of having to go through Google? I don't have an account and would rather not make one.
