I'm reading the Darker Shade of Magic trilogy, I just started the final book, "A Conjuring of Light".

I'm reading the Star Trek New Earth series I discovered on Amazon; written or co-written by various authors. So far not bad.
I've just reread Alfred Bester's The Stars My Destination. My favourite novel of all time. Considered by many to be the single best Science fiction novel.
For once, I'm already reading a book that works for a GR Week (as opposed to trying to hunt one down). Last year I found a sci-fi short story, but this year I'll be finishing The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. Then it's back to my over-scheduled challenge lists.
James wrote: "Just wrapped up "The Fountains of Paradise" by Arthur C. Clarke, and now about to start in on Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy of books. I'm also working my way, slowly but surely, through Dune."I love "Dune". It changed how I saw books and even the 'real world'. Do you find it very difficult ^^?
And how did you find "The Fountains of Paradise"? I haven't read it, but I like Arthur C. Clarke.
Looking over the Goodreads Top 50 list reminded me how much I like Kurt Vonnegut, so next up is Cat's Cradle.
I am reading Schismatrix Plus by Bruce Sterling (special edition w/foreword by author). Strange book, but it's really growing on me!
Andis wrote: "Finishing 1984 in the following day or two, and then it's not decided yet, it's gonna be either Neuromancer or Altered Carbon."Great books! I loved Neuromancer, but then I'm a little weird ;)
Gala wrote: "I'm reading Ursula le Guin's The Dispossessed - brilliant sci fi that you can really sink your teeth into. She is fantastic as ever."I love that book SO much...
I'll be reading Blackwood: A Gotheim Tale - a gothic novel that crosses over into the realm of fantasy. Dark, gritty and nightmarish! Perfect for SFF week.
Had no idea it was sci-fi/fantasy week, but Terry Pratchett's The Color of Magic is next on my reading list, so that's my choice!
I'm working my way through Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time fantasy series. Have just finished Book 4, 'The Shadow Rising. 'Boy they are loooong! A bit of a brick in hardcopy and tiny font - might switch to my ipad to read the next one! There are things I like about Jordan's style and characterisation - which keeps me chugging along. I feel as if I am learning heaps from this writer as I embark on Book 2 in my own series :) Since it's Sci-Fi week, I might even start book 5! The Fires of Heaven.

Or Twilight.
coincidentally (I didn't know it was sci-fi/fantasy week) I'm currently reading the long way to a small angry planet by Becky Chambers AND LOVING IT. Has anyone else read? I JUST LOVE THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK OMG
I read SFF in audiobook format because most of them are full cast narrations and it's like a movie! I only buy the physical copy when I immensely enjoyed listening to its audiobook.
Reading 'Dark Matter' by Juli Zeh - a truly phenomenal book. They way it is written and the story lines remind me of my first encounters with The Confederacy of Dunces, Catch 22 and The Time Traveller's Wife. Be prepared to be drawn in, astounded and captivated by characters and descriptive abilities that will leave you desperate for more!! (BTW - You could also read my own SciFi book, search my name and see it on my author page)
I would like to recommend one incredible science fiction recommendation from India "Turbulence by Samit Basu its amazing
I'm almost through Recursion by Blake Crouch.......mind bending and in my opinion better than Dark Matter
I just started one of Neal Stephenson's early novels, Zodiac, and then I jump into the second book in John Scalzi's Old Man's War series, The Ghost Brigades.
Denisse wrote: "I'm reading The Murderbot series. So far so good!!!!"I love Murderbot! I heard there was a full length Murderbot book coming out next. I keep forgetting to double check.
Hope to complete the zero enigma series by Christopher Nuttall - great series. and just maybe D. Andrew Campbell - Catharsis #2 - Catalyst.
I'm reading "Nothing" as it's just been released! #nothingthenovelNothing (How to Trigger the Apocalypse While Doing Nothing Special) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WCRGVVP
About to start Nature's Peril which is the fourth (and final) in a series by Duncan Pile. A bit LOTR, a bit Harry Potter, a bit Ursula de Guin, a bit Pratchet. It's good for teens / YA but im in my 40s and have really enjoyed them.

Chris wrote: "El libro me parece interesante. No tengo fluidez nativo en español, pero puedo leer la mayoría de literatura en el lenguaje. Necesito leer más ciencia ficción global"Hola, Chris: Te invito a leer el volumen uno de mi saga de fantasía épica. A lo mejor te "atrapa" y quieres leer el volumen dos. ;) Ya estoy por comenzar a escribir el volumen tres, así que no habrá mucho tiempo de espera. Lo prometo. :D

Oh yeah, The Terror was awesome and so is Dan Simmonds!
Gala wrote: "I'm reading Ursula le Guin's The Dispossessed - brilliant sci fi that you can really sink your teeth into. She is fantastic as ever."Wonderful book. Have you read The Word for World is Forest? It's totally 'the real' Avatar.
Anyone want to try a new YA/Teen Sci-fi Dystopian book? It's about parallel worlds and mistaken identities. It's gotten really good reviews so far. :) And it's FREE to read on Kindle Unlimited. bit.ly/SaveYourselfBySBreaker
They're after you. But which you...?
Just started re-reading the first book in the Chronicle of Wightblade series by self-published author L Philipp Naughton. The first book Terra Nostra and the Book of Waiting is very intriguing and can't wait to relive what all the characters get up to.
Definetly give it a go if you are interested in a quirky fantasy novel set on another planet.
I am just now starting a new book - it's a fantasy trilogy, The Emperor's Blades The Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne. I can't say much about it, since I am only just starting but I read this review, by Navessa:"Some authors are simply writers; they take words and put them down on the page. Some authors are poets; they take those words and twist them around into beautiful prose. Then some authors, like this author, are weavers. They take those words and that beautiful prose and work them into immensely complicated storylines. These lines become the thread with which they knit their books into creation. They stitch them to and fro as they weave a literary tapestry and while reading, you get mere glimpses of the pattern they’re creating. Only at the end is the grand design revealed, and when it is, you can do nothing but sit back and wonder at the beauty in front of you. Thank you, Mr. Staveley, for reminding me of ALL the reasons that I love to read."
....and it sounded like something I would like. If anyone has read it, I'd love to hear their take on it.
Carro wrote: "I've just read the Touchstone trilogy - first book Stray, plus the wonderfully titled Gratuitous Epilogue and then the follow-on In Arcadia. The firs..."This made me curious to read those books! Thank you!
