Roadside Picnic is interesting! The movie is pretty out t..."
If I get on with the book (I'm definitely hoping so!) I'll check out the movie! :)

Currently I'm on A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes, a female-focused take on the Trojan War.

-O Androide by Paulo de Castro, a Brazilian science fiction book which I just started an hour ago and I still don't know much about what it is.
-Fractais Tropicais, an award-winning collection of Brazilian science fiction and weird fiction stories. Like I said, some stories are good, some not-so-good, but even despite the not-so-good ones I am still glad to see that there are enough Brazilians writing science fiction and weird fiction to allow for such a large collection (it has 30 stories).
-The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin. Sorry for its fans but I am not liking it, I am actually hating it. Finding it really boring. Maybe as it gets to the end it might get better.
-Elric of Melniboné, the 1972 novel by Michael Moorcock. Liking it very much so far. Really looking forward to see Elric get the Stormbringer.
-The Neverending Story by Michael Ende in the original German. Now, that's how you write a fantasy book!! I've been struggling with it for months because I am still learning German and I am not fluent on the language, but so far what I read from this book is glorious and beautiful.
-Half a year ago I was reading All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders but I stopped reading just before Book Three. I plan on resuming reading it next month.
-In a few minutes I will start reading The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N. K. Jemisin. I have a positive feeling about this book and about Jemisin in general.
-Can I call the Mahabharata a fantasy book? Because I am reading a really abridged version of around 300 pages of the epic Indian poem. Really confusing, with story inside story inside story, but not that bad so far.

"Huntress" is wonderful! "Ash" is still my favorite of Malinda Lo's, but "Huntress" is such a close second. Enjoy it!

(Games House was absolutely stunning)
Next i'm either going to read Dirty Job by Christopher Moore or Non-Stop by Brian Aldiss.
- i'm also writing the last part of my new novel too....which is a comedy science fiction story of a band travelling the star systems, gigging.

Well it does get quite involved through several different series all melding into the Melnibone Arc!!

Same old thing since 5th grade.

I just got started on ths series on Audible. My daughter overheard some of it and she is hooked, too.
She is not a reader (dyslexia), so Audible has been a blessing for us.

My boyfriend got me on Sanderson and I was shocked by my obsession with him. I've plowed through his series, I agree I'm shocked that they don't get mentioned more often now that I've read them. Do we really need another list of books with harry potter at the top? Pretty sure 99% of the people on here have read the Harry Potter Series, so lets make lists for more unknown books.

The rest of the articles are about newly published or upcoming books.
I'd say they've had their due.

Not sure if I'll reread some more Wells, The Goblin Emperor, or Stained Glass Monsters.

Or work on the unread pile: Miles, Mutants, and Microbes, Travel Light, Cyteen, The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, Lent, One-Eyed Jack, or A Memory Called Empire.

You should definitely give Small Angry Planet a try!

I will be reading Touch of Frost and Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep.

When I finish that I have other books waiting on my shelf. None of the recommended books, though because the GR picks always turn out to be a total train wreck for my tastes.

Reading the final book of the Dark Artifices trilogy is perfect for Sci-Fi and Fantasy week! At 800+ pages, it'll take me a week to read anyway lol

I am mixing in Brian Staveley's Unhewn Throne series (very good, but in many ways almost too similar to the Malazan), and John Scalzi's Interdependency series (in the 2nd book and loving it).
