José Domingos Riley Sager has been such an excellent surprise. Final Girls was terrific, such a compelling book. Can't wait to read the next two.

The Joy of Erudition I think some of those cover designers are the ones in a rut.

Dana Al-Basha | دانة الباشا What's with women and thrillers? Many angry females...

Juliet the Book Slayer "Final Girls" is one of the few books I've ever rated 1 star. AT LEAST 30% of that was the main character baking! Horrible, boring and so disappointing. She took a great concept, ate it and shat it out again.

Riley Sager is male 😂

Juliet the Book Slayer He/she, whatever. It’s a crappy book.

I can't agree or disagree because I haven't read it. Hopefully your next read it better

Dora The Last Time I lied really blew my mind away.

Naomi “Bookladyreads” Welp, my tbr list just got longer. Some of these books sound really good. And I've only heard of three authors on this list.

I wholeheartedly agree, and it's not just mystery writers. At least Ruth Ware's covers look completely different. I'll probably read her books first.

Veronika I recommend John Sandford's Lucas Davenport & Virgil Flowers series. Quick read, great characters, smart plots!
