Yes, I was really pleased with this journalist's depth and acuity. She was definitely a cut above what one expects from local papers covering WorldCons. (Actually, considering how dire that can get -- several cuts above.)
It's from a transcript of a verbal interview, so it's not as tightly or coherently expressed as what I could have done in an e-mail or written interview (I want to red-pencil the hell out of my part, sigh), but I suppose it sounds more spontaneous. I talk in first draft, alas, which means I more often bracket my meaning with friendly fire than hit it square-on.
