Sidelines again

Nothing going on today, so I shall practice posting images again so I don't forget how, and do a little least-effort e-book promotion.

My cover person at Spectrum was kind enough to devise this little ad for me when I was about to go out to BayCon last month. Waste not.

I also have an interesting series of our preliminary e-cover treatments for the new UK e-Chalion, which might be fun to post sometime. The whole progression would take up a lot of space, though; we went back and forth for several days.

Andrew Van Ness Sounds like a very interesting read! Does it include excerpts from the Vorkosigan Companion? Or more generalized information about your writing life/experiences?

What it says on the tin: speeches and essays, and some miscellanea. The best way to get a taste would be to pop over to its Kindle or Nook page and check out the "Look inside" feature. (I love that feature. And anything else that lets a book sell on content instead of just packaging. Does the iTunes store have the equivalent? I don't think I've ever checked.)

No, it does not duplicate The Vorkosigan Companion. We filched much of that from various interviews, although my interviews and other writings did feed in and out of each other over the years.

for the look-inside, or one of them.

Linda Sidelines looks extremely useful. My daughter is constantly asking me questions about writing and publishing. I'll put this one on my iPad which she reads while waiting for the concert to start.

Andrew Van Ness Thank you for replying! I took your advice and read the descriptions on amazon and decided to buy the book! I am going to France this summer and have a 10 hour flight. I have the highest confidence that your book will keep me entertained. Your Vorkosigan novels have always been wonderfully enchanting and I am eager to get a closer look at the writing behind the writing so to speak. Thank you!
