The Wide Green World isn't saying much to me right now, no. Though I do remain curious about Barr and his half-farmer daughter.

Your statement so neatly sums up why I feel that so many popular films and novels are not particularly interesting. Has your "survey" of romance-sf crossover progressed much since you did the interview? I wonder how many wonderful authors' works I have missed due to classification into genres that I do not tend to visit. I almost missed yours.
