This is in Maverick's POV. Maverick and Rowan are going on a ghost tour at the abandoned water park. Katie is meeting them there. Jared is their guide.

This Week's Snippet Below.

Jake had a bag of mini-flashlights that he passed out to everyone, and he had other ghost-busting items that were supposed to help aid in capturing ghostly presences.

"Hi, you two," Katie said as she headed toward them. A man with long bleached hair trailed behind her. He wore a short-sleeve shirt and vest, leaving his full-sleeve, colored tattoos on display. He dragged on a cigarette as he came to stand next to Katie. He appeared to be at least ten years older than Katie but then a hard life might account for the fine lines at the edges of his deep-set eyes. "This is Spike," she said and looked toward the guy with admiration.

Jesus, the woman knew how to pick them, Maverick thought.

"Spike, these are my friends, Maverick and Rowan."

Spike left the cigarette dangling from his lips as he stepped closer with an outstretched hand.
